Reflection 1

One of the topics that we discussed about the Contemporary world is Globalization,
Ma’am Hicana lectured about the different aspects connected about the Globalization. I
learned that not all are positive regarding globalization there are still a lot who can’t catch
up to the process. Because we didn’t finish reading the material Mrs Hicana gave us in
the first meeting, she punished with the “just do it in 30secs” the tas k is to present what
have you red in front of the class but the catch is to do it in 30 seconds. I am really
pressured that time because the time is so shorte but it works because we can develop
adaptability, after that she discussed about our countrys state in globalization and I
realized that in the country some of our people suffers. Mrs Hicana gave example about
the sad truth of globalization, because of the more open mode of trading with other
countries our local producers are facing bankruptsy due to the competition. Especially
our farmers, they suffer because of the importations of agricultural products. So overall
as a Filipino I think we should know the limitations of our actions, we must first
prioritize what is ours so that we can prosper. Yes globalization has a lot of positive
effects but the toll on negative affects as very much because we are still a developing
country.
