owned and managed by the local community, has emerged as a
mechanism to facilitate tourism activities in many developing countries,
including Kyrgyzstan. Main motive behind CBT is to improve the living
conditions in remote mountainous regions, by developing the rural
tourism without harming the natural environment and culture of local
people.
