Background Knowledge Students have learnt how to write simple sentences about what they like to do on 13/05/2019.
Therefore, today’s lesson, the students are going to learn applying Present Tense into their

 Teacher explains to the students about the Simple Present Tense and introduced the
FORMULA SONG created by the teacher. Role Play
 Teacher asks the students to copy down the notes on slide.
 Teacher gives sample questions on the whiteboard to check the students’ understanding.  Gallery Walk
 Teacher gives rewards to students who answer correctly.

 Students are divided into groups of 4 or 5 and each group appoints one leader.
 Each group will be given a different cartoon character and each group will be given 10 Poem recitation /
ACTIVITIES minutes to brainstorm and write down 5 sentences using Simple Present Tense. (guided) singing
 Teacher facilitates and helps those who are in need.
 The pupils take turn to read what has been written by other groups (gallery walk)
 Each group is allowed to give comments using the sticky notes.
