NAME: NEPTANIA C. ALCANTARA

AGE: 57 yrs. old
SEX: Female
OCCUPATION:
ADDRESS: 45 P. Gomez St. Samonte Park, Cavite City
CIVIL STATUS: Married
RELATIONSHIP TO THE PETITIONER: Aunt

DESCRIBE THE PETITIONER AS A:

WIFE (POSITIVE)

As a wife, May is a good wife. She always keep their home clean and spotless. She
cooks for her family and always tries to please her husband with everything he needs. As
she recognizes that her husband neither works nor provides for the family, she always
try to find the means to earn money so that she could provide for the family’s needs up
to the point that she worked as a household help or “kasambahay” so that she could earn
money for the family’s needs.

WIFE (NEGATIVE)

As any wife, May usually nags her husband when he comes home intoxicated or
when he refuses to find work for the family’s needs.

MOTHER (POSITIVE)

May is a very good mother to her children. She entered all kinds of work in order
to give her children all their needs and wants. She became a “kasambahay”, “labandera”,
sold fishball, “plantsadora”, and a parlor assistant. She is ever generous to her children
and even if her earnings were not that big, she was even able to renovate her children’s
bedroom so that they would be more comfortable.

MOTHER (NEGATIVE)

May can sometimes be too lenient to her children when she is in a good mood, and
at the same she can be very strict when she is in a bad mood. When her temper is tested,
she sometimes resort to physical punishment such as spanking.
DESCRIBE THE RESPONDENT AS A:

HUSBAND (POSITIVE)

Initially, her husband was a good one when they were starting out. He had a
decent job and provided for his family and was courteous.

HUSBAND (NEGATIVE)

After being hooked on drugs, he became less and less of a husband. He became
unmindful of his wife’s needs as well as their children’s. There was even a time when he
drove May out of their home and kept a mistress in their house while their children were
there. He continuously used illegal drugs and he lost his job in the process. He became
gravely disrespectful to his wife and became unmindful of his family’s needs.

FATHER (POSITIVE)

As far as he is a father, he still makes their children feel that they are loved as he
still disciplines them at times and he shows concern whenever the children are out.

FATHER (NEGATIVE)

Although he shows the children that he is still concerned with their well-being, he
is unmindful of the negative effects of him bringing home his paramour and letting her
stay in the conjugal home. This shows that he allows his immoral acts to be seen by their
children.

BRIEFLY NARRATE ANY INCIDENT YOU KNOW THAT COULD HAVE

BEEN THE REASON OF PETITIONER AND RESPONDENT’S SEPARATION:

As I have said before, May’s husband was involved in drug selling and drug use,
hence, this was the reason that they became separated. His continuous womanizing and
drug use and his recent arrest for drug use as well as his refusal to find work may also be
reasons why their marriage failed.
