4. Honor your Father and your Mother.

 Did I disrespect my parents or my elders in thought, word or deed?
 Did I avoid my family or deny them my attention and time? Did I ignore or ridicule family rules and traditions?
 Did I listen to family only when it is convenient? Did I take my family’s love and support for granted?
 Did I deceive those who are responsible for my well-being?
 Was I lazy when it comes to helping around the house?
 Did I ignore or disobey just governments and laws?

5. You shall not kill.

 Did I resent my body, personally or those of others? Had I treated anyone else’s body without respect?
 Was I lazy to take care of myself?
 Did I eat or drink in a way that abuses the dignity of my body?
 Was I in a relationship that compromises my self-respect or the respect of the other person?
 Did I take medicine or drugs in a way that alters my consciousness or injures my health?
 Did I put myself or others in unnecessary grave danger?
 Did I resent, hold grudges, or seek revenge toward people?
 Did I fight with or hurt anyone with my words or deeds?
 Did I get angry and stop speaking to anyone?
 Did I delight in other people’s misfortune? Am I apathetic or silent when I know people are being harmed?
 Did I call anyone names or talk about them behind their back?
 Have I ever had an abortion or encouraged anyone else to do so?

 Have I involved myself in fighting or violence?

6. You shall not commit adultery.
 Did I dress immodestly in a way that draws attention only to my body?
 Did I place myself or others in situations of sexual temptation?
 Have I engaged in any sexual activity outside of marriage?
 Have I been guilty of any homosexual activity?
 Did I manipulate people to get them act against their values?
 Did I speak or joke in a way that ignores the dignity of the body?
 Did I brag about my sexual influence over others?

7. You shall not steal.

 Did I waste time in a selfish way at work, school or at home?
 Did I use money and property recklessly?
 Did I fail forget to pay my debts promptly?
 Did I fail to respect the property of others by treating it violently or carelessly?
 Was I selfish with my physical, intellectual, or material gifts?
 Did I ignore the value of intellectual property by cheating on school or work or encouraging others to do so?
 Have I shoplifted, stolen or failed to return property that belongs to someone else?
 Did I fail to share what I have with the poor?

8. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

 Did I speak in a way that doesn’t reflect reality?
