I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, learners should be able to:
a. Identify the welding PPE’s in accordance with the occupational health and
safety hazards.
b. Show concern about using of PPE’s in accordance with occupational health
and safety hazards.
c. Prepare and wear welding PPE’s use in accordance with safety procedures.

B.1 Motivation
The teacher will bring a motorcycle helmet and hand gloves.
1. Identify the following items.

6. Why is it important to wear protective gear when riding a
motorcycle?
 B.2 Activity
The teacher will divide the student into two (2) groups. Each group
will be given pictures of welding equipment used during welding.
Each group will select presenter to the class. They will answer the
following question.
1. Identify the protective gadget.
2. What is the use of this gadget?
3. What part of the body is protecting this gadget?
4. Can we do welding without this protective gadget? Explain.
B.3 Analysis
1. What are the types of PPE’s?
1. Can you enumerate the PPE’s used in welding?
2. Why we have to wear these PPE’s during welding?
B.4 Abstraction
1. Give the types of PPE’s?
2. What are the PPE’s used in welding?

B.5 Application
“Pinoy Henyo”
The learner will be divided into three (3) groups. Each group will
select
representatives to compete in the game. One pair will guess the
PPE,
one member will prepare the PPE and the other member will wear
the PPE.

Mechanics: In order to win the game the representatives of each

group will guess and wear the PPE’s in a lesser time. The following
are the points to be given for their performance:
1st Prize: 100 pts.
2nd Prize: 90 pts.
3rd Prize: 85 pts.
