"Pirates of Silicon Valley reaction Paper"

The movie Pirates of Silicon Valley is an interesting movie. I like how it takes me back to a
90's kind of vibe. To be honest I had no idea what the movie will be about until I heard the
name Steve Jobs. So it thought It will be mainly about technology. But it wasn't, it was also
about the little rivalry that grew between Apple and Microsoft and the struggles or things that
you would do to stay on the top of the the industry.

The movie started with Steve Jobs and woz, two aspiring students in Berkeley who has big
plans for technology. They have this concept that the key to power is through media and
information. I find it brilliant how complicated yet smart they think. So these students created
a personal computer for ordinary people, it was presented to a big company called IBM but
denied. And so Jobs and Woz kept creating computers with their friends at their backyard
which they called Apple. This so called "Apple" attracted lots of attention and later on grew
into a big company. I was really amused how Apple started from scratch and now a really big
company. Other than the rise of Apple, the invention of Microsoft was also shown with Bill
Gates and Paul. They later on became great rivals with Steve Jobs. Bill Gates and Paul are
already talented people and all they need is a door that will make them known by a lot of
people. The journey of Apple and Microsoft is really interesting, the flow of the story is also
great from the rise of Apple to the victory that Microsoft seeks. Although this journey made
them both competitors, there's one thing that they both gained which is the matter of stealing.
Steve Jobs stole the Ideas from Xerox such as graphics and "mouse". While Microsoft goes
inside Apple to steal their inventions and make his own. Both brilliant people clashing in
order to be on the top. At the end of the movie, Steve Jobs became a really abusive boss
which is probably influenced by his fame and money to the point thag he lost his best friend
Woz, he neglected being a Father and later on got fired. At the end Bill Gates prevails and
became the wealthiest man during that period.

When it comes to the making of the movie, I consider it a great movie specially since it was
made in the 90's with limited equipments. The flow of the story is very captivating and it will
kept you wanting to watch more. The special effect are fine and cinematography are also
great. I'm basing my judgements on the films during 90's. It's very hard to keep the audience
interested in a movie about technology but the director and crew did great because I was
entertained throughout the movie. Overall it was an astounding movie.
