The Red Reservoir was completed with a single well initially. A second well was added at the start of
the second year.Pressures were measured initially and thereafter at the end of each six months of
production. The pressure-production history is tabulated in the Data section. It is clear from the
reported pressures that the reservoir pressure has exceeded the bubble point pressure for the entire
time. As expected the gas production (not shown) equals the amount of dissolved gas production
expected from the reservoir.
Use the Havlena and Odeh approach to find the best description of the reservoir OOIP and determine
if the aquifer description is accurate. First, evaluate the reservoir as a closed system (i.e. no water
influx) using the appropriate Havlena and Odeh plot, F = N*(Eo + Ef,w)
Make a second plot including the estimates of water influx provided in the Data. These estimates are
based on the aquifer analysis described in a later section of the course. The Havlena and Odeh
equation for a water drive reservoir is F = N*(Eo + Ef,w) + We
