ABOUT FERROCRETE

Consumption of cement generally 400-750kg per m3 OUR PROJECTS

Reinforcement

Reinforcement
a. Wire mesh - woven - hexagonal, square dia.0.5 mm -
2.5 mm, spacing 6mm -75 mm. Consumption 250 - 500
kg per m3

b. Welded mesh - dia 2.5 mm - 5 mm, spacing 50

mm-75mm. Consumption 350 - 600 kg per m3

c. Fibres -metallic, non- metallic or natural dia.35 or 0.3 x

0.4 mm. Consumption 1-3%

» Cover to reinforcement-2.5 mm-5mm. cover to fibres -

nil
» Fine aggregate-particle size 400 micron - 3 mm.
» No coarse aggregate.
» Generally no shuttering.
» Admixtures are mostly used for anti- rusting,
workability, high strength, anti-shrinkage, water
proofing and pollution resistance.
» Min. thickness 10mm and maximum 60mm or so.

» Homogenous isotopic material at the initial stage, and

gains a monolithic format aer construction.
» Fire resistant up to 750°C for a period of 48 hours or
even more.

Ferrocrete Buildings
Cost eective/eco- friendly houses, buildings-
constructed with foundation, basement, walls, any
shape roofs etc. all in Ferrocrete Technology, can reduce
the total expenditure of the construction to minimum
30% less than that of conventional type construction.
Dead weight of Ferrocrete buildings is almost 50% to
that of RCC building.

For up stair buildings: where there is the ground floor

not strong enough to bear the load of a conventional
type building on first floor.

For special shaped buildings, farm houses, church

facades, shell houses, etc. where aesthetic appearance
to be highlighted.

Ferrocrete partition walls constructed in RCC framed

structures like flat, commercial complexes etc. provide
more strength and durability compared to the brick wall
and consumes lesser space.

Following are some of the works where we

have applied the Ferrocrete technology
» Low Budget Houses - oblique Buildings, Shell Houses,
Resort Structures, Church Facades- Domes, Architectural
Elements, False Ceiling Panels, Sunshades, Partition
Walls, Light Weight Roofs, Heavy Duty Floors, Kitchen
Cabinets, Wall Cupboard Systems.
» Tanks for storage of water, oil, chemicals
» Bio- gas plants
