INTRODUCTION

Student Management System deals with all kind of student details, academic related reports, School
details, course details, curriculum, batch details and other resource related details too. It tracks all the
details of a student from the day one to the end of his course which can be used for all reporting
purpose, tracking of attendance, progress in the course, completed semesters years, coming
semester year curriculum details, exam details, project or any other assignment details, final exam
result etc.

Our design can facilitate us to explore all the activities happening in the school, even we can get to
know which faculty is assigned to which course, the current status of a student, attendance
percentage of a student and upcoming requirements of a student. The student management system is
an automated version of manual Student Management System. It can handle all details about a
student. The details include school details, subject details, student personnel details, academic
details, exam details etc

BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

Nowadays technology is always used in different ways of living. there are other schools that
use old records management tools. so I wanted to make their record keeping easier. Student
Management Records System (SMRS) deals with all kind of student details such as school details,
course details, curriculum details, batch details, and other resource related details too. It tracks all the
details of a student from day one to the end of the semester/year/course which can be used for all
reporting purpose, tracking attendance, progress in the course, completed semesters years, coming
semester year curriculum details, exam details, project or any other assignment details, final exam
result, and all these will be available for future reference too.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

There is no Privacy of student’s data. We can’t know what action is being performed by whom.
There is not register id provided for Administrator. Student’s data can modify without permissions. The
data of students has been written on Microsoft Excel sheet. Taking name, id and subj, mark as each
column, There were no log-in id’s for administrators. The San Alejandro Elementary School is using
this old management tools
for them to record their student data.
The problems of the study are:
1. The problem of being deformed in the society
2. The problem of keeping untidy records.
3. Using of manual and archaic system in processing data.
4. To determine ways which information can process a large volume of data such as academic
tedious and detail and repetitive denial work done with manual method in some information.
5. method of accessibility.
6. The problem of managing information thereby accessing it to make something out of it.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

The San Alejandro Elementary School Management System can reduce paper works and will
easily search the records of the student. The San Alejandro Elementary School will greatly benefit
with the proponent’s study because they don’t need to hire any programmers to do the work in their
system. The proponents will develop their system. So the proponents ask for the support of the
company. This will lead in lessening expenses of the company which can be used in their other
expenses.

The staff/student will benefit in the system. They will find it easier to transact about their
records since searching in the system is faster than tracking in the record book or log book. The
software will give them an easier time with their time log and they don’t have to worry about losing
there time cards because it is not necessary.

Human Resources Personnel managing the time keeping will not be same again as they will
experience relieve. It would be fast and easy for them to hanle transactions such as report making and
monitoring time entries. Further determining or computing the salary/fees manualy will be eliminated
that will lead to faster transaction
Scope And Limitation Of The Study

Data not withstanding of its size cannot be too large to process. However, a guided approach is adopted
to stay within limits for easy comprehension.
To end this, the study will focus on the student together with its accompanying web interface, students
registration details and academic results. In its most common form, the wide application of computers
in accessing remote files make way for adoption of more superior ays of making information available
to the millions of users. And it also exposes the researcher to the core about the difficulties of database
programming for the web, an all-round technology but because of the following constraints, the study
may not be completed. They include;
 Time constraints and finance
 The college does not have enough necessary software and extended network of computers.
 It lacked the projected operational hardware
 Unavailability of power supply to test and implement the developed work.

LIMITATIONS

The proposed system cannot be accessed online and it focuses only on the school
management system software of the organization. This proposed system is only applicable and can
only be used by the management of any school. The proposed System may face data redundancy

Database – is systematically organized or structured repository of indexed information (usually as a

group of linked data files) that allows easy retrieval, updating, analysis, and output of data.
Encode - to convert (a message) from plain text into code.
Grades - an accepted level or standard. Inquiry - a seeking for information by asking questions.
Online - Computer or device connected to a network (such as Internet) and ready to use (or be used
by) other computers or devices.
