I. INTRODUCTION:
A rooftop pv power station is a photovoltaic system that has its electricity-generating solar panels mounted on the rooftop
of residential or commercial building or structure here 30/12/2013,solar panel’s mounted on surat municipal corporation main
office building. Rooftop mounted systems are small compared to ground-mounted pv power stations with capacities in the
megawatt range here the capacity of 100kwp. Rooftop PV systems on residential buildings typically feature a capacity of about
5 to 20 kilowatts, while those mounted on commercial buildings often reach 100 kilowatts or more. The various components
of such a system include pv modules, mounting system, cables, pv inverters and other electrical accessories. The rooftop solar
PV system could be with or, without having grid interactive, here grid interactive with TORRENT PVT COMPANY. In grid
interactive system, the DC power generating by solar PV panels is converted to AC power using power conditioning
unit and is feed to the grid either of 11 KV three-phase line or, 220V single-phase line depending on the system installed at
institution, commercial establishment or, residential complex.
This system used to generate power during the daytime which is utilized fully by powering the captive load like self
SMC load(street light, flood light, office equipment etc.) and feeding excess power to the grid like TORRENT PVT
COMPANY as long as grid is available. In cases, sometime solar power is no sufficient due to cloud cover etc. the captive
loads are handle by drawing power from the grid. The grid connected rooftop solar PV systems thus works on ‘net-metering’
basis where in the benefit pays to the utility on net meter reading basis only. Ideally, grid interactive systems has not
require battery back up as the grid acts as the back up for feeding excess solar power.

• Lc: Collection Loss ( Pv array losses) = 1.18KWh/KWp/day ,
• Ls: System Loss (Inverter Loss,…) = 0.1KWh/KWp/day,
• Yf: Produced useful energy (inverter output) = 4.76KWh/KWp/day,
• 214246KWh/yearly Array nominal energy (at STC)

78.8% of whole year, system losses Ls and Collection Losses Lc is almost same of whole year but energy output Yf form the
inverter should less in June, July and August compare to other month of whole year, Performance ratio should be high in
December during the insolation should be high and energy feed to grid 173824KWh/yearly at Ambient temp 26.96 Degree and
Global irradiation 2043.4KWh/m.sq.
