INTRODUCTION:
The term Globalisation got into existence in the early period of 1980’s. Despite of this fact large number of
people have considered the process as a comparatively new sensation. Before the term globalisation has got
its own meaning in 1980’s, however we have seen the the scope of globalisation by considering
example of the Roman Empire for instance which has unfold its economic and governing systems through a
few prominent parts of the traditional world for several hundreds of years. Let’s consider another example of
globalisation - The Silk Road has helped several merchants to expand their business to other regions and the
merchants who were travelling from China through Central Asia and Middle East to the Europe and has
showed another revolutionary case of globalisation. The European countries have not only invested in their
homeland businesses but have also invested overseas during the time period before the happening of the First
World War , few of the prominent economists feel that the investments by the European countries in
overseas was an example to prove their was globalisation before and called it as early golden era of the
globalisation. The globalisation has spread throughout the world, with certain time periods of extension as
well as the inadequacy. The twenty first century has witnessed , the international stock markets have seen a
drastic decline after the September 11, 2001 the terrorist attack which has collapsed the United States
economy, but after many years it has come back to previous financial glory.

Why globalisation matters?

Increasingly, businesses must recognize that their success depends on efficiency and
scalability being able to The definition of globalization on InvestingAnswersquickly mobilize
global resources and reach world markets. Most economists agree that globalization is the
key to growing businesses in the 21st Century.4

Several organizations have either been created or have evolved into key roles in the
process of globalization. The World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, for
instance, deal primarily with issues of free trade in developing economies and with
international monetary policy, including debt and trade balances between developing and
industrialized countries.

The World Trade Organization, along with the General Agreement on Trade and Tariffs
(GATT), has been involved with removing trade barriers and reducing the cost of trading.
While this lowering or removal of tariffs and quotas that restrict free and open trade among
nations has helped globalize the world economy, transportation and communication
technologies have had the strongest impact on accelerating the pace of globalization.
However, in the early stages of the twenty first century we have seen a great positive change in the
globalisation, mainly influenced by the sudden advancement of the technology and the
telecommunications. Usually technology , money and materials are seen to be flowing at a great
pace today across the boundaries of the nation which is happening today and not back then before
the globalisation. There has been a surge in the ideas, knowledge and the cultures which are flowing
at a supersonic speed with the help of the worldwide internet communication innovations. Professor
Dr.BR AMBEDKAR is known to be a person who had fought for a primary cause to ensure there is
social justice in India , he is also known as the father of the Indian constitution, without taking his
help the constitution of India would be incomplete. He has not only worked hard for the social
liberation of the Dalits who were discriminated back then, but also built a society by abiding to the
principles of equality, fraternity and liberty as given in the preamble of the Indian constitution. His
idealogy towards the principles of social justice is considered to relevant to the current scenario. He
has struggled a lot for the Dalit Rights, backward castes which required a push by the government
to lead a better life, women rights, the minorities who may feel they are being oppressed by the
majority and working class citizens, for these categories of people he has gone through lot of pain
and struggle to ensure they don’t lose their minimum dignity of life - they can satisfy their basic
needs. He has worked hard to protect these categories of citizens irrespective of the caste or
religion. He widely divides the principles of social justice into three categories- fraternity, equality,
liberty.
Ambedkar tended to in constituent get together that ‚the third thing we should do isn't to be content
with unimportant political majority rule government. We should make out political majority rules
system a social popular government too. Political majority rules system can't last except if there lies
at the base of tit social popular government. What does social majority rule government mean? It
implies a lifestyle, which perceives freedom, uniformity and clique as the standards of life It is an
extraordinary social incentive in giving a steady society and in verifying the solidarity of the nation.
By and large, Social equity might be characterized as "the privilege of the frail, matured, down and
out, poor, ladies, kids and other under-special persons".He was himself a casualty of social foul
play, confronted its challenges; and he not endured the bad form, yet strikingly battled against them.
Ambedkar had a liberal idea of social justice Like Gandhi, for Ambedkar, equity is basically
another name of liberty, fraternity and equality.
The term social justice can be divided into two simple words - social which is referred to the human
being surviving in the society , the second word justice refers to liberty, rights and equality.Along
these lines the concept of social justice is related to provide equality without any discrimination ,
ensure liberty and maintain individual rights to each and every citizen living in the society. The
term social justice is a broad concept and cannot be easily understood just by observing. Based on
this the key point of Ambedkar concept of social justice is human equality, equal distribution of the
resources useful for citizens belonging to all categories to utilise the resources in a correct manner
and reducing the amount of discrimination in the society.

So, the motive of social justice according to Ambedkar is giving a decent position to mutual
sympathy and respect. In order to uplift an individual there are a few major components to be
considered which are liberty, sympathy and equality.
The Hinduism religion deprives of these 3 components , so he has converted to Buddhism as it
considers equality, fraternity, simplicity and love.

Social justice in indian democracy

constitution of India is one of the basic foundations of all the laws enacted in India it gives an
insight into how a democracy or the system of government should run and it supports the idea of
rule of law where constitution is considered the supreme law of land, the constitution framed was
the voice of the whole country it was debated by all the representatives after the independence and
it ensures a common interest of majority of the people in India. The idea of social justice as
enshrined under the constitution is an emphasis on justice achieved through equality, liberty and
fraternity and also the concept of welfare state where the idea of the government is to take care of
all the individuals in the country or a more profound duty of the government. The ideal vision was
to protect the nations integrity by providing social justice in all areas of interest, economic political
and legal.

Social justice as a term envisions a cultural and political stability of the varied interests in the
society. Democracy acts as medium in attaining a higher more enriched societies. And in a
democracy social justice plays the glue holding all the people together without it the structural
integrity of a democracy diminishes as history identifies. Social justice also involves balancing the
socio-economic inequality in a country and to achieve this socio-economic equality it is essential
that the rule of law and welfare state act as catalysts.
Social justice is a concept which plans on providing justice to all the citizens of the state equally
and a democracy needs to ensure and achieve this ideal by providing its citizens with social welfare
schemes and many other policies.

Globalisation
Globalisation is a network by which regional economies, societies and cultures integrate to form a
global chain of communication, transportation and trade. Globalisation is an economic term it is the
idea of integrating national economies into the international economy by way of trade foreign direct
investment, capital flows, migration, and the information technology.

In the 1991 India’s economy was hit by low forex reserves for as low as 1 billion $ and the new
economic policy which made emphasis on liberalisation, privatisation and globalisation, and has
given the foreign multi national corporations to utilise our resources, raw materials, most
importantly skilled human capital available at a meagre pricing per hour of work. During the 1991
the new economic policy time India was dealing with a hefty loan of billions taken from various
banks and financial institutions like the world bank and IMF the problem here was it has just taken
loans to payback the interest rates of the previous loans and during this period we have gone
through a huge period of recession as there were no businesses running which was directly
proportional to employment and has heavily affected the GDP of the country without considering
the concept of globalisation today our country would be in a similar status when compared to the
backward countries in Africa. Every coin tossed has two outcomes in a similar way the
globalisation also has advantages and disadvantages so globalisation has by far played a major role
in reviving India to its precolonial glory without the globalisation today the skills of the people have
improved over a period of time which would gradually increase their incomes and allow them to
live a better life. Without globalisation banks would have remained nationalised and today there
wouldn’t be any indian privatised banks. The concept of globalisation has actually helped the indian
businesses to explore potential markets on which they have not focused earlier.
The consumers have a better choice to choose wider range of products with better features while
making this statement the idea is that India has opened itself to the global economy and paved way
for international trade.

SEZ the link between social justice and globalisation:

Special economic zones are government subsidised zones where potential businesses or multi
national corporations invest in establishing factories, but form the governments point of view it is
an essential idea to enrich the backward places by providing employment, investment whether
skilled or unskilled. To further this argument the case study of mondelez foods or commonly known
as cadbury, the multinational company makes confectionaries and it has established a
manufacturing plant in the backward area of a drought ridden place of rayalseema which has
potentially developed the area and provided the rural community with employment.

Conclusion:
Globalisation is essential in the development of a country which not only gives the consumer a wide
variety of products in the market but also helps in increasing the forex reserves as multinational
corporations invest in the country and helps In creating employment in the country. Globalisation
allows the government to focus more on its primary functions while the multinational corporations
substitutes its work in developing an economy all the government has to do is ensure the market is
regulated to prevent social injustice. The concept of globalisation should not be a hindrance to the
products manufactured by the local manufacturers.
The multi national companies utilising the resources of our country should try to reinvest the
money earned in the indian economy ,to prevent ploughing back of money to the home country.
Example the. Factory established by Xiaomi in India was a reinvestment in the indian economy.
Globalisation has paved way for new cultures which can be a potential game changer in
establishment of new and efficient work cultures like the Japanese silent protests etc. it initiates
better understanding of technology and development, But without regulation it can be detrimental to
the existing native cultures and traditions.
