 Devised a new methodology to determine the absorption water of Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement aggregate (RAP) for the
production of Cold Recycled Mixtures (CRM)
 Acquired operational skills related to software-controlled high performance material testing systems
 Investigated the effect of compaction effort on microstructure using Scanning Electron Microscopy image analysis
 Analysed the effect of moisture migration on dynamic modulus at different curing ages by Non Destructive PUNDIT test
 Evaluated thermal sensitivity of CRBMs by performing Indirect Tensile Strength Modulus using 11 cycles at 3 temperatures
 Performed Indirect Tensile Strength Test in dry and wet conditions and studied the water susceptibility of mix based on ITR

India’s only entry in Solar Decathlon China 2018, referred as Olympics of “Solar Powered Houses” competed among 22
international teams from 11 countries; build a net zero sustainable house for India smart city “Amravati”
 Developed energy efficient and durable building enclosures for high performance of house using sustainable materials
 Analysed 30+ eco-friendly materials considering 4 parameters to integrate with fast construction and modular housing
 Performed SWOT analysis and successfully modelled MgO-PUF sandwich panel to optimize thermal efficiency of wall

INVESTIGATION ON HEAT MIGRATION MECHANISMS IN SEDIMENTS (Aug’18 – Jan’19)
(Guide: Prof D N Singh, Institute Chair Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Bombay)
 Performed an extensive literature review on thermal properties of frozen sediments to understand the heat migration
mechanisms in a multiphase system involving phase transformation
 Studied the importance of thermal conductivity in destabilisation of Gas Hydrate Bearing Sediments for large scale production
 Developed an apparatus to estimate the thermal properties of sediments using KD2 pro sensor at different temperatures (viz.
25o C to -25 o C) by placing a linear heating cum cooling source
 Analysed the effect of saturation and salinity on thermal conductivity due to migration of heat in multiphase porous media
VALORIZATION OF OVERBURDEN | COAL INDIA LTD, NAGPUR (Jan’18 – May’18)
(Guide: Prof S B Agnihotri, Prof Vishal Sardeshpande, CTARA Department, IIT Bombay)
 Investigated the Overburden Segregation Plant - first ever plant in India at Coal India Ltd. (world’s largest coal producing
company) to recycle overburden into gravel, sand, clay –fly ash bricks
 Characterised and quantified enhanced performance of recycled sand in concrete after in -depth experimentation
 Performed energy audit on a multi process segregation machine using block and process flow diagram
 Proposed 4 changes in the production strategy to increase annual revenue of plant by 54000 USD
HAZARDOUS WASTE MANAGEMENT (Jan’19 – May’19)
 Performed an intensive literature about the acute and chronic effects of Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill on marine environment
 Researched the processes involving fate of contaminants and their importance in selecting the process for remediation
CONCRETE TECHNOLOGY (May’17 – July’17)
(Guide: Prof Prakash Nanthagopalan, Civil Engineering Department, IIT Bombay)
 Pioneered a scientific experiment to test the Indian mason’s conventional way of applying plaster on wall for quality
 Designed a catapult principle based mechanical arm in SOLIDWORKS to investigate the finished plaster for mechanical, quality
and durable properties with varying parameters like angle of throw, force and mix design
 Investigated the effect of sucrose and salt on the setting time of concrete using Penetration Resistance Test
WASTE WATER ENGINEERING (Jan’19 – May’19)
 Researched the “ Water Management System” of Haridwar city along the banks of river ganga and identified key issues &
challenges in the Storm Water Drainage, Water Sewerage system and Water pollution in river Ganges
 Studied the design of water quality monitoring network using Genetic Optimisation model including economic constraints
