HOW/2: DISPLAY OPTIONS UPGRADE

SDS/2 2017 gives you more precise control over what is displayed in Modeling and Drawing Editor. You
can now display Member piecemarks, Member numbers, etc., based on Zone, Sequence, Member type,
Member number and Existing members. Construction lines and Construction circles can now be displayed
independent of one another, as well as by color and line type. Other items can be displayed based on criteria
specific to those items. Each section of Display Options also now has Copy, Paste, Save and Load form
buttons to make changing which items are
displayed more efficient.

The Display Options window has been reorganized,
as shown in Figure 1, to include a tree on the left to
access more options for displaying items in Modeling.
General settings contains the highest level control
that will hide/display all items in Modeling. If an item
is turned on in General settings and has a blue list
icon next to it, then it will also be shown in the tree on
the left. This indicates a section with additional options
for more precise control.

Within each section opened from the tree on the

left, additonal options specific to the item type are
available. Items meeting the criteria checked or
selected in each list will be displayed in Modeling.
Turning any of these options off will hide the item in Figure 1: Display Options
Modeling and an will be displayed in the tree to alert
you of options being turned off. Clicking the blue list icon in General settings will turn on all of the additional
options under the appropriate section.

Some item options, such as bolts or holes, are populated based on what currently exists in Modeling. When
viewing the additional options for these items, the Refresh button will read all the items in Modeling
and re-populate the list so it stays accurate.
