Church of the Nazarene Memorial Roll
If you would like to purchase a Memorial Roll certificate in memory of a
loved one, please contact Brenda in the church office by October 6th.
(649-3867 or office@estillnaz.org). The cost of placing someone on the
Memorial Roll is $75. Memorial Roll Certificates will be presented on All
-Saints Sunday, November 3rd.
The Memorial Roll, established in 1919, is a way to honor deceased
friends and loved ones. A certificate is issued in the name of the person
memorialized and presented to a family member. All monies received go
towards the cost of health insurance for our missionaries serving in the
field.

BIBLE STUDY FELLOWSHIP

BSF began September 12th with the study of Acts on Thursdays, 9:30am, at
Tullahoma First Baptist Church, in their fellowship hall. All women are

MICAH 6:8 MINISTRY from Sandy Schefcik
Did you know…the Freedom from Religion Foundation (FFRF), the Wisconsin
-based organization, attempted to shut down the Opelika, Alabama High
School Bulldogs's 100-year tradition of praying before games? The FFRF sent
a letter to Opelika administrators demanding that the school end student-led
prayers before kickoff. Superintendent Mark Neighbors told the players that
instead of prayer, the team could have a moment of silence instead.
But at a recent Friday night game, thousands of fans, teachers, and students
were led in the Lord's Prayer by teenagers at the stadium. A local youth pastor
said "I just felt God speak in my heart that this is not okay -- that I need to take
a stand." He called his students in and said, "Guys, they can threaten the
coaches' jobs. They could threaten the teachers' job. They can threaten the
administration. They cannot restrict your right as a student." He had the idea to
use the Lord's Prayer -- and encouraged them to spread the idea far and
wide... and they did!
