I.Introduction

Senior high students of Cagayan National High School

usually belongs to the age bracket of 16-19, this age

bracket is where many people like to be adventurous in

many aspects including food, but, this is also an age

bracket where many people don’t have much pocket money.

With this in mind the company is designing a product to

give students an adventurous twist on a traditional dish;

Buchi. The company also understands that students have

limited pocket money and as such, is designing the

product to be affordable

Lowering the cost can be done due to investors giving us

the necessary funds to start production quickly. Our

investors also have connections to other entrepreneurs

and business men in the food industry, giving us access

to cheap raw materials from first distributors or even

manufacturers themselves.

After getting materials, production of the product can be

easily done by members of the company who are equipped

with the necessary materials to produce quickly and,

their skills in cooking. With this the company can easily

make hundreds of Buchi in just about half an hour enough

for the target market.

We first plan on selling our products by going room to

room. But we plan on expanding our means of selling by

first advertising. We plan on advertising by means of

fliers and endorsers. Since we have many friends from

many different sections, we can get endorsements for a

very reasonable price. By doing this we are making people

aware of us and our product therefore increasing our

potential market. And since they’re aware for us we can

expand our means of selling not just from room to room,

but maybe people from other classes will go to us

personally and buy our products.

Mission: Gain loyalty of customers through affordable and

delicious food

Vision: Buchi kings being the top producer of buchi on

the market

IV. MARKETING PLAN

A. RESEARCH ANALYSIS

Average scores from prototype testing

Criteria Average score

Originality 34/40

Palatability 28/30

Nutrition 26/30

Based on the feedback of consumers from the prototype

testing, taste wise the product is good but, needs some

improvement on its nutritional value as well as its

orginality. Cost wise, the company’s planned price for

the product is cheaper than related products currently on

the market

Based on these results, the company is planning on adding

more twists on the product to further differentiate the

product from other competitors. One of these twists will

be the addition of sweet potato on to the product. This

would make the product more unique and original. Sweet

potatoes are also known to be highly nutritious, being

Sarap na inyon hahanap-hanapin pg. 7

packed with vitamins and anti-oxidants which may help

reduce the risk of cancer and various illnesses, as well

as fiber which promotes gut health

All these would then result in the company’s product

meeting the needs of the market for a cheap, unique,

delicious and nutritious product

B. MARKETING STRATEGIES

On promoting the product, the company will employ methods

that are cheap and can reach many potential consumers. As

such the company decided on promoting the product through

the use of a video advertisement which would then be

posted on various social media platforms such as

Facebook.

The company also plans on making fliers which will be

distributed on to the market area

The company’s members will also promote the product

personally amongst peers, to allow for a more intimate

connection to the target market and, in turn the friends

of the company’s member might also promote the product to

other friends, who in turn will also promote the product

to their friends again and so on and so forth. This

method can allow for an exponentially increasing product

reach of the company

Two days prior to the selling of products the company

would gather the necessary raw materials for production.

A day prior to the selling of the product, the company

would now then process the raw materials to form the

buchi to be cooked on the next day.

On the morning of the day of selling the buchi will be

cooked. Cooking on the same day of selling ensures

freshness and quality of the product and as such, a staff

of the company would cook the unfinished product the same

day as it’s sold, to ensure freshness
