Importance of Market Research in the Bakery Project:

 Market Research is the critical component that’ll provide you with all the information
that you need to make a better business decision.
 And therefore, market research is very import while launching any new product as it
helps us understand the customer as to Who will buy your product? Who are your ideal
customer personas? How often will they buy? What do they need? What do they want,
expect?
 Market research will help us map out the full profile of your ideal customer. Knowledge
of the customers will help us determine the market size and what triggers them to buy. It
helps us gain valuable insights like their age, location, gender & income, which will help
you in creating effectively tailored marketing and pricing campaigns.

QUESTIONAIRE FOR BAKERY

The 1st step towards any research would be to understand what exactly does the customers want.

An open-ended questionnaire was our strategy along with a few closed ended questions to

understand the sentiments of people towards a bakery/café.

A questionnaire needs to be appropriate and must ask the right questions. With plenty of data

available today, asking the right questions so that u can understand what the consumers wants,

analysis of the data and interpretation is the key.


We had predicted that a café with a Bollywood theme would be preferred over an urban, a vegan

or a gluten free café. This was proven wrong as about 70% percent of the participants chose the

latter.
