ACE Internship Programme on Data Modelling

ASEAN CENTRE
FOR ENERGY
The ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) Internship Programme offers a small
number of outstanding students the opportunity to acquire work experience with
ACE at the ASEAN level, in implementing the ASEAN Plan of Action for Energy ACE Building, 6th Floor

Currently, ACE is working on the 6th ASEAN Energy Outlook (AEO6) as part of Indonesia
the Outcome-based Strategy of APAEC. The AEO6 is the flagship studies of

(AMEM). The development of AEO6 reflects the relevance of ACE’s effort to

coordinated, focused and robust energy policy agenda and strategy for ASEAN.
In this regard, ACE is providing internship opportunities on Energy Data
Associate for the AEO6, and exposures to the intensive and comprehensive
work of the only official Energy Outlook in the region.

Responsibilities:
Support the development of the 6th ASEAN Energy Outlook (AEO6) by:
• Cleansing, validating and verifying the data used for the model to ensure
the accuracy of the number and consistency with the definition.
• Gathering all anomalies that have been found and discussing with the
team for further action.
• Working with Energy Statistician to input new data submissions.

Qualifications:
• Enrolled in bachelor's degree in engineering, energy studies, statistics,
or related field (at least in the third year of study).
• Graduated with a university degree (Bachelor) and, if selected, must
commence the internship within a 6 months period after graduation.
• MS Office skills, with advanced knowledge in Excel.
• Previous experience in working with Energy Balance or other Energy
Statistics data is highly preferred.
• Possess attention to detail, strong willingness to learn about energy
sector, and passion for working with data.
• Ability to work in a team and to adapt to an international working
environment.

Interns work under the supervision of a staff member at Policy Research and
Analytics Programme of ACE.
ASEAN CENTRE
The normal duration of an internship is two (2) months, which can be extended FOR ENERGY
by mutual consent when there are special requirements.
At the end of the internship programme, the intern needs to present the following ACE Building, 6th Floor

The intern is entitled for internship allowance of IDR 100,000 per effective
working day to cover their daily meal and transport, supported by the Policy
Research and Analytics Programme.
