How to Charge the Battery of Your Cell Phone

Elephants

Elephants are large mammals. They are biggest mamals living on land today. Their skin is gray and
very thick. Elephants use their huge ears to keep themselves cool. The most amazing feature of the elephant

 is its trunk, which is used for reaching high branches, drinking, transferring food into his mouth, bathing
and smelling danger. Its enormous upper teeth are tusk which are used for getting food and fighting.
African and asian elephants are the only two species left. Asian elephants are smaller and easier to
train. African elephants have larger ears. They need their ears to keep them cool in their hot climate.
Elephants are herbivores and eat grasses, leaves, twigs and fruit. They can reach leaves on tall trees
using their trunks.
Working elephants clear forest, provide transport, move logs and take part in parades. They have
done this in Asia for hundreds years.
Baby elephants take two years to develop. After birth, they live on their mother’s milk for three
years and use their trunks to put food into their mouths.
Many elephants have been killed by proachers who sell their tusks to ivory treaders. Elephants need
to be protected because their numbers are decreasing.
