Program Manager, Transportation

As Program Manager with Amazon Transportation, you will lead projects focused on the delivery of new fulfillment
programs. You will manage Transportation programs end to end. You will contribute business expertise to the
program requests, manage configurations in Amazon tools, identify technical dependencies, co-ordinate will cross-
functional teams, develop milestones and launch schedules, assess and manage risks, measure and report on
progress, anticipate and resolve bottlenecks and balance the business needs with the technical constraints to ensure
timely and successful delivery.

As a Program Manager you will:

 Create and manage the framework supporting amazon fulfillment network. This includes both Amazon
Logistics as well as third party carriers.
 Understand business’ and end user’s needs and proficiently translate those needs into the right solution.
 Apply proficient knowledge of core technology and/or functional area to coordinate program design and
launch within schedule and constraints.
 Demonstrate excessive Ownership to manage programs end to end. This includes anticipating and
coordinating dependencies with cross-functional teams.
 Work with the likes of network planners, carrier managers to understand the carrier’s delivery network and
configure the same in Amazon’s systems efficiently.
 Demonstrate technical aptitude to credibly communicate with technical engineers and work with them to
identify high-performance, scalable solutions for your projects.
 Optimize processes and develop innovative solutions to deliver results better and faster.

Basic Qualifications

 Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Engineering, Transportation or other field.

 Master’s degree in Business, Management, Transportation or other technical field.
 Proficiency in MS Office with strong emphasis on MS Excel. In Trans you will be working on large sets of
carrier data.
 Strong verbal and written communication skills. As a Program Manager you will be facilitating flow of
information between internal and external parties throughout the program life cycle.
 Strong influencing skills and negotiation skills. Ability to work with and influence technical and non-technical
cross functional teams to produce results.

Preferred Qualifications

 2+ Years of Transportation or Supply Chain or E-commerce related work experience.

 Technical knowledge of database structure and querying languages.
