KARACHI: Among the 18 towns of the city district Karachi, Saddar Town has been
described as a VIP town because most important financial, commercial institutions
and government offices are located in the area.

It is also distinct from other towns because of its historical buildings which include
the official residences of the governor and chief minister, the Sindh Assembly, city,
sessions and high court, the Supreme Court’s Registry and the Quaid’s birth place.

The city’s main markets and head offices of various banks are also located here,
besides several diplomatic missions.

There are several ethnic groups in Saddar including Muhajirs, Sindhis,
Punjabis, Kashmiris, Seraikis, Pakhtuns, Balochis, Brahuis, Memons, Bohras,
Ismailis, etc. Over 85% of the population is Muslim. There are also Christian,
Hindu, Parsis, Ahmadis, and other religious communities in Saddar. The
population of Saddar Town is estimated to be nearly one million. There are 11
Union Councils in Saddar Town.

 Merewether Clock Tower:
Merewether clock tower is located at M.A Jinnah road Karachi. It was constructed by
Sir Evans James in 1892 in the memory of Sir William L Merewether who was the
Commissioner of the Sindh at that time. This is a very beautiful place. We visit that
tower its architecture is beautiful. This tower is not the most visited landmark,
although it is one of the most crowded points in the city because of its location.

Habib Bank Plaza is the
Head Office of Habib
Bank. It was the tallest
building of South Asia
until the 116m tall MCB
Tower was built. I
personally visit that plaza it’s
really beautiful from inside but
the biggest problem
people face over there is
the problem of parking.

(second-hand clothes markets).
People who can’t afford the real

more. In this market all products are in reasonable prices, this is very
crowded and old market.

 Gul Plaza:
One of the few inexpensive yet elaborate shopping malls

around Karachi. Centrally air-conditioned, with basement

shops full of reasonably priced goods, especially clothes,

begs, hand carries luggage and crockery available with a good
price.

 State Bank of Institute:

The National Institute of Banking and Finance (NIBAF) is a
subsidiary of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) head by the
Managing Director, a Board of Directors and the Governor of
State Bank of Pakistan. NIBAF, a non-profit organization, aims
at providing training and development to central and
commercial bankers at national as well as international level.
One of its important roles is to develop human capital of SBP
and its subsidiaries. It has

weeks of training during the financial year 2006-07.

 I.I Chundigardh Road:

I. I. Chundrigardh Road, formerly McLeod Road, is located in the financial hub of
Karachi, Pakistan.

The Karachi financial area is the largest in the country, referred to as "Pakistan's
Wall Street".

In 1963, Habib Bank Plaza was built on this street which remained the tallest
building of Pakistan until 2005.

 In 2007 Sharjah-based Enshaa Holdings in a joint venture with NLC launched
Karachi International Financial center on II Chundrigardh road which would
comprise a hotel, office towers, serviced apartments and a railway station. The
Karachi Financial Towers would include two identical 37-storey towers connected
by a three-floor glass sky bridge. As of 2012, construction has been abandoned
because of financial misappropriation and possible embezzlement.

office and Masjid . he said, that this office and Masjid is situated since 6 years .
This office is open at 9’0 clock AM To 8’0 clock pm.

 Nizami Road:
In Saddar there is a famous road NIZAMI
ROAD. When we visit we saw there are a lot of
bike repairing shop, pan cabin shop and dry
fruits shops. We talk them. This road is really
congested for traffic. But the day when we
visit the road had very few traffic because
of hot weather.

First we talk to dry fruits shopkeeper. Shop named SHAFEY GAJAK SPECIALIST.
There is a man ATIQUE in this shop. He is there since 17 years. He said that in
summer there is no work because mostly people eat dry fruits in winter. He
opens his shop at 9’o clock sharp and close it at night at 12:00 0 clock every day.
He said there is no problem on this road.

Then we talk to puncture wala his name is

MUHAMMAD IMRAN. His shop is 10 years old.
He says that we repair 10 to 15 bikes puncture
every day. He also said that we have no
problem on this road.

JAMAT-E-ISLAMIA HANFIA MASJID.

SHIRI SWANIANARYAN TEMPLE. It is a place
where Hindu community worship of their GOD.
There is a Hindu society office. When we go there we meet
a person name was KANTHI MAHRAJ and HERA LAL.
When we talk about the Hindu society we asked some
questions and they answered it. He told us this
temple situated since 200 years ago. He said that we
live here comfortably we have no issues from
Muslims people. If we have any problem in our
community we solve our issues with the help of our
panchayet system. And there is a little issue of
water. He told we have only one main problem that
we face that is changing the religion. Some people
of this society change their religion and become
Muslim. He thought that if a person is not constant
with their religion so how they can constant with
another religion, otherwise they have no issues. We
celebrate our occasion, events without any problem.

We have no separate schools and colleges in Hindu society for our children. So
our children go to Muslims schools and collage and get their education.

 National Museum of Pakistan:

We go to NATIONAL MUSEUM.
We saw their environment is
very clean and good. There is
too much greenery. When we
entered in museum there was
so many historical things. We
meet a man his name is ANWAR
HUSSAIN KHAN. He is production
officer of that museum. He told
that this museum is situated
since February 1970. In starting there is
only 7 to 8 galleries but now there is almost
15 to 16 galleries like Marapa gallery, Hindu
gallery, Quran gallery, coin gallery and so on.
In these galleries we saw historical things like
dresses, jewelry, coins, maps, pots, Quran and many
other things.

SHAHEEDA KHURSHEED KANWAL. She is a program executive she
work there since 20 years. She told us about arts council she
said, it is an organization for promoting the arts in Pakistan. It
is the country oldest and most famous NGO that deal in
promotion and development of arts and crafts in Pakistan.

She said, Karachi arts council has four academies of its own that help in
