National Institute of Textile Engineering and Research (NITER) is looking for dynamic, energetic and experienced Bangladeshi
personnel for the following posts:

(1) Professor: Textile Engineering (TE) (Scale: 56,500 –74,400, Grade-3) Number of Post: 1
Candidates with Ph.D. or an equivalent degree in Textile Engineering or relevant field and 12 years of teaching/ professional
experience of which 7 years must be in teaching and research. Qualified candidate must have Bachelor degree in Textile
Engineering. S/He should have at least 7 publications in recognized research journals or books.
Or Candidates with Masters or M. Phil degree in Textile Engineering relevant field and a Bachelor degree in Textile
Engineering with 18 years teaching or professional experience may also apply. The candidate must have first class or CGPA
3.25 in a scale of 4.00 starting from B.Sc. to MS degree. S/He should have at least 7 publications in recognized research
journals or books.
Condition may be relaxed for highly qualified/experienced candidates. Candidates who are working as Professor in any
recognized University will be given preference.

(2) Professor: Industrial & Production Engineering (IPE) (Scale: 56,500 –74,400, Grade-3) Number of Post: 1
Candidates with Ph.D. or an equivalent degree in Industrial & Production Engineering or relevant field and 12 years of
teaching/ professional experience of which 7 years must be in teaching and research. Qualified candidate must have
Bachelor degree in Industrial & Production Engineering. S/He should have at least 7 publications in recognized research
journals or books.
Or Candidates with Masters or M. Phil degree in Industrial & Production Engineering relevant field and a Bachelor degree in
Industrial & Production Engineering with 18 years teaching or professional experience may also apply. The candidate must
have first class or CGPA 3.25 in a scale of 4.00 starting from B.Sc. to MS degree. S/He should have at least 7 publications in
recognized research journals or books.
Condition may be relaxed for highly qualified/experienced candidates. Candidates who are working as Professor in any

(3) Professor: Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE) (Scale: 56,500 –74,400, Grade-3) Number of Post: 1
Candidates with Ph.D. or an equivalent degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or relevant field and 12 years of
teaching/ professional experience of which 7 years must be in teaching and research. Qualified candidate must have
Bachelor degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. S/He should have at least 7 publications in recognized research
journals or books.
Or Candidates with Masters or M. Phil degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering relevant field and a Bachelor degree in
Electrical and Electronic Engineering with 18 years teaching or professional experience may also apply. The candidate must

Candidates with Ph.D. or an equivalent degree in Computer Science and Engineering or relevant field and 12 years of
teaching/professional experience of which 7 years must be in teaching and research. Qualified candidate must have
Bachelor degree in Computer Science and Engineering. S/He should have at least 7 publications in recognized research
journals or books.
Or Candidates with Masters or M. Phil degree in Computer Science and Engineering relevant field and a Bachelor degree in
Computer Science and Engineering with 18 years teaching or professional experience may also apply. The candidate must
have first class or CGPA 3.25 in a scale of 4.00 starting from B.Sc. to MS degree. S/He should have at least 7 publications in
recognized research journals or books.

(5) Professor: Fashion Design (Scale: 56,500 –74,400, Grade-3) Number of Post: 1
Candidates with Ph.D. or an equivalent degree in Fashion Design/Fashion Design & Apparel Engineering/Textile Engineering/
Fine Arts or relevant field and 12 years of teaching/professional experience of which 7 years must be in teaching and
research. Qualified candidate must have Bachelor degree in Fashion Design/Fashion Design & Apparel Engineering/Textile
Engineering/ Fine Arts. S/He should have at least 7 publications in recognized research journals or books.
Or Candidates with Masters or M. Phil degree in Fashion Design/Fashion Design & Apparel Engineering/Textile
Engineering/Fine Arts relevant field and a Bachelor degree in Fashion Design/Fashion Design & Apparel Engineering/Textile
Engineering/ Fine Arts with 18 years teaching or professional experience may also apply. The candidate must have first class
or CGPA 3.25 in a scale of 4.00 starting from Bachelor to Master degree. S/He should have at least 7 publications in
recognized research journals or books.

(6) Professor: Business Studies (Scale: 56,500 –74,400, Grade-3) Number of Post: 1
Candidates with Ph.D. or an equivalent degree in Management/Marketing/Finance/Accounting or relevant field and 12
years of teaching/professional experience of which 7 years must be in teaching and research. Qualified candidate must have
Bachelor degree in Management/Marketing/Finance/Accounting. S/He should have at least 7 publications in recognized
research journals or books.
Or Candidates with Masters or M. Phil degree in Management/Marketing/Finance/Accounting relevant field and a Bachelor
degree in Management/Marketing/Finance/Accounting with 18 years teaching or professional experience may also apply.
The candidate must have first class or CGPA 3.25 in a scale of 4.00 starting from Bachelor to Master degree. S/He should
have at least 7 publications in recognized research journals or books.

(7) Associate Professor: Textile Engineering (TE) (Scale: 50,000–71,200, Grade-4) Number of Post: 1
Candidates with high academic qualifications preferably a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Textile Engineering or relevant field
from any recognized University and at least three first class or CGPA 3.25 in a scale of 4.00 starting from B.Sc. to MS degree.
Qualified candidate must have Bachelor degree in Textile Engineering. S/He should have 7 (seven) year’s professional
experience of which at least 1 year active teaching in the position of Assistant Professor. Qualified candidates should have
minimum 5 publications in recognized research journals or books. Candidates possessing Master degree in Textile
Engineering or relevant field and 12 years teaching or professional experience of which 4 years active teaching as Assistant
Professor can also apply. Condition may be relaxed for highly qualified/experienced candidates.

(8) Associate Professor: Industrial & Production Engineering (IPE) (Scale: 50,000–71,200, Grade-4) Number of Post: 1
Candidates with high academic qualifications preferably a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Industrial & Production Engineering
or relevant field from any recognized University and at least three first class or CGPA 3.25 in a scale of 4.00 starting from
B.Sc. to MS degree. Qualified candidate must have Bachelor degree in Industrial & Production Engineering. S/He should have
7 (seven) year’s professional experience of which at least 1 year active teaching in the position of Assistant Professor.
Qualified candidates should have minimum 5 publications in recognized research journals or books. Candidates possessing
Master degree in Industrial & Production Engineering or relevant field and 12 years teaching or professional experience of
which 4 years active teaching as Assistant Professor can also apply. Condition may be relaxed for highly
qualified/experienced candidates.
(9) Associate Professor: Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE) (Scale: 50,000–71,200, Grade-4) Number of Post: 1
Candidates with high academic qualifications preferably a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering
or relevant field from any recognized University and at least three first class or CGPA 3.25 in a scale of 4.00 starting from
B.Sc. to MS degree. Qualified candidate must have Bachelor degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. S/He should
have 7 (seven) year’s professional experience of which at least 1 year active teaching in the position of Assistant Professor.
Qualified candidates should have minimum 5 publications in recognized research journals or books. Candidates possessing
Master degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or relevant field and 12 years teaching or professional experience of
which 4 years active teaching as Assistant Professor can also apply. Condition may be relaxed for highly

(10) Associate Professor: Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) (Scale: 50,000–71,200, Grade-4) Number of Post: 1

Candidates with high academic qualifications preferably a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Computer Science and Engineering
or relevant field from any recognized University and at least three first class or CGPA 3.25 in a scale of 4.00 starting from
B.Sc. to MS degree. Qualified candidate must have Bachelor degree in Computer Science and Engineering. S/He should have
7 (seven) year’s professional experience of which at least 1 year active teaching in the position of Assistant Professor.
Qualified candidates should have minimum 5 publications in recognized research journals or books. Candidates possessing
Master degree in Computer Science and Engineering or relevant field and 12 years teaching or professional experience of
which 4 years active teaching as Assistant Professor can also apply. Condition may be relaxed for highly
qualified/experienced candidates.
(11) Associate Professor: Fashion Design (Scale: 50,000–71,200, Grade-4) Number of Post: 1
Candidates with high academic qualifications preferably a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Fashion Design/Fashion Design &
Apparel Engineering/Textile Engineering/ Fine Arts or relevant field from any recognized University and at least three first
class or CGPA 3.25 in a scale of 4.00 starting from Bachelor to Master degree. Qualified candidate must have Bachelor
degree in Fashion Design/Fashion Design and Apparel Engineering/ Textile Engineering/ Fine Arts. S/He should have 7
(seven) year’s professional experience of which at least 1 year active teaching in the position of Assistant Professor.
Qualified candidates should have minimum 5 publications in recognized research journals or books. Candidates possessing
Master degree in Fashion Design/Fashion Design & Apparel Engineering/Textile Engineering/ Fine Arts or relevant field and
12 years teaching or professional experience of which 4 years active teaching as Assistant Professor can also apply.
Condition may be relaxed for highly qualified/experienced candidates.

(12) Associate Professor: Business Studies (Scale: 50,000–71,200, Grade-4) Number of Post: 1
Candidates with high academic qualifications preferably a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Business Studies or relevant field
from any recognized University and at least three first class or CGPA 3.25 in a scale of 4.00 starting from BBA to MBA degree.
Qualified candidate must have Bachelor of Business Administrative (BBA) degree or relevant field. S/He should have 7
(seven) year’s professional experience of which at least 1 year active teaching in the position of Assistant Professor.
Qualified candidates should have minimum 5 publications in recognized research journals or books. Candidates possessing
MBA degree and 12 years teaching or professional experience of which 4 years active teaching as Assistant Professor can
also apply. Condition may be relaxed for highly qualified/experienced candidates.

(13) Assistant Professor: Mechanical Engineering (Scale: 35,500–67,010, Grade-6) Number of Post: 1

The candidate must possess a 1st Class or minimum CGPA 3.25 (in a scale of 4.00) in both Bachelor and Master degree in
Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University/ institute with 3 years professional experience of which at least 2
years must be in active teaching in a University or equivalent organization. Qualified candidates having Ph.D. degree in
relevant field can directly apply. Candidate must have at least 2 publications in referred journal/ book. Condition may be
relaxed in case of highly qualified/ experienced candidate.

(14) Assistant Professor: Industrial & Production Engineering (IPE) (Scale: 35,500–67,010, Grade-6) Number of Post: 1
The candidate must possess a 1st Class or minimum CGPA 3.25 (in a scale of 4.00) in both Bachelor and Master degree in
Industrial and Production Engineering from a recognized University/ institute with 3 years professional experience of which
at least 2 years must be in active teaching in a University or equivalent organization. Qualified candidates having Ph.D.
degree in relevant field can directly apply. Candidate must have at least 2 publications in referred journal/ book. Condition
may be relaxed in case of highly qualified/ experienced candidate.

(15) Assistant Professor: Mathematics (Scale: 35,500–67,010, Grade-6) Number of Post: 1


The candidate must possess a 1st Class or minimum CGPA 3.25 (in a scale of 4.00) in both Bachelor and Master degree in
Mathematics from a recognized University/ institute with 3 years professional experience of which at least 2 years must be
in active teaching in a University or equivalent organization. Qualified candidates having Ph.D. degree in relevant field can
directly apply. Candidate must have at least 2 publications in referred journal/ book. Condition may be relaxed in case of
highly qualified/ experienced candidate.

(16) Assistant Professor: Business Studies (Scale: 35,500–67,010, Grade-6) Number of Posts: 2
The candidate must possess a 1st Class or minimum CGPA 3.25 (in a scale of 4.00) in both Bachelor and Master degree in
Management/Marketing/Finance/Accounting from a recognized University/ institute with 3 years professional experience
of which at least 2 years must be in active teaching in a University or equivalent organization. Qualified candidates having
Ph.D. degree in relevant field can directly apply. Candidate must have at least 2 publications in referred journal/ book.
Condition may be relaxed in case of highly qualified/ experienced candidate.
(17) Lecturer: Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE) (Scale: 22,000 – 53,060, Grade-9) Number of Posts: 4
The candidate must possess a 1st Class or minimum CGPA 3.50 (in a scale of 4.00) in Bachelor or equivalent degree in
Electrical and Electronic Engineering from a recognized University/Institute. S/he must have at least GPA 4.50 in
S.S.C/equivalent and H.S.C/equivalent. Candidates must have at least one year industrial/teaching experience. The
candidates with M.Sc. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering will be given preferences. Condition may be relaxed in
case of highly experienced candidate.
(18) Lecturer: Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) (Scale: 22,000 – 53,060, Grade-9) Number of Posts: 2
The candidate must possess a 1st Class or minimum CGPA 3.50 (in a scale of 4.00) in Bachelor or equivalent degree in
Computer Science and Engineering from a recognized University/Institute. S/he must have at least GPA 4.50 in
S.S.C/equivalent and H.S.C/equivalent. Candidates must have at least one year industrial/teaching experience. The
candidates with M.Sc. degree in Computer Science and Engineering will be given preferences. Condition may be relaxed in
case of highly experienced candidate.
(19) Lecturer: Applied Physics & Electronics (Scale: 22,000 – 53,060, Grade-9) Number of Post: 1

The candidate must possess a 1st Class or minimum CGPA 3.50 (in a scale of 4.00) in Bachelor or equivalent degree in
Applied Physics & Electronics from a recognized University/Institute. S/he must have at least GPA 4.50 in S.S.C/equivalent
and H.S.C/equivalent. Candidates must have at least one year industrial/teaching experience. The candidates with M.Sc.
degree in Applied Physics & Electronics will be given preferences. Condition may be relaxed in case of highly experienced
candidate.
(20) Lecturer: Mechanical Engineering (Scale: 22,000 – 53,060, Grade-9) Number of Posts: 2

The candidate must possess a 1st Class or minimum CGPA 3.50 (in a scale of 4.00) in Bachelor or equivalent degree in
Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University/Institute. S/he must have at least GPA 4.50 in S.S.C/equivalent and
H.S.C/equivalent. Candidates must have at least one year industrial/teaching experience. The candidates with M.Sc. degree
in Mechanical Engineering will be given preferences. Condition may be relaxed in case of highly experienced candidate.

(21) Lecturer: Textile Engg. (Wet Process, Yarn, Fabric, Apparel) (Scale: 22,000 – 53,060, Grade-9) Number of Posts: 4
The candidate must possess a 1st Class or minimum CGPA 3.50 (in a scale of 4.00) in Bachelor or equivalent degree in Textile
Engineering (Wet Process, Yarn, Fabric, Apparel) from a recognized University/ Institute. S/he must have at least GPA 4.50 in
S.S.C/equivalent and H.S.C/equivalent. Candidates must have at least one year industrial/teaching experience. The
candidates with M.Sc. degree in Textile Engineering will be given preferences. Condition may be relaxed in case of highly
experienced candidate.
(22) Lecturer: Mathematics (Scale: 22,000 – 53,060, Grade-9) Number of Post: 1

The candidate must possess a 1st Class or minimum CGPA 3.50 (in a scale of 4.00) in both Bachelor and Master degree in
Mathematics from a recognized University/ Institute. S/he must have at least GPA 4.50 in S.S.C/equivalent and
H.S.C/equivalent. Candidates must have at least one year industrial/teaching experience. Condition may be relaxed in case
of highly experienced candidate.

(23) Lecturer: Development Studies (Scale: 22,000 – 53,060, Grade-9) Number of Post: 1

The candidate must possess a 1st Class or minimum CGPA 3.50 (in a scale of 4.00) in both Bachelor and Master degree in
Development Studies from a recognized University/ Institute. S/he must have at least GPA 4.50 in S.S.C/equivalent and
H.S.C/equivalent. Candidates must have at least one year industrial/teaching experience. Condition may be relaxed in case
of highly experienced candidate.

(24) Lecturer: Business Studies (Scale: 22,000 – 53,060, Grade-9) Number of Posts: 2

The candidate must possess a 1st Class or minimum CGPA 3.50 (in a scale of 4.00) in both Bachelor and Master degree in
Management/Marketing/Finance from a recognized University/ Institute. S/he must have at least GPA 4.50 in
S.S.C/equivalent and H.S.C/equivalent. Candidates must have at least one year industrial/teaching experience. Condition
may be relaxed in case of highly experienced candidate.
(25) Assistant Registrar (Scale: 22,000 – 53,060, Grade-9) Number of Posts: 2
The candidate must possess a minimum 2nd class or CGPA 3.00 (in a scale of 4.00) in both Bachelor and Master degree from
a recognized University/ Institute with at least 3 years professional experience in any University/ academic Institution as
Section Officer/ Administrative Officer/ Executive or equivalent position.
Or candidate with Bachelor degree from a recognized University/ Institute and 20 years professional experience of which 7
years must be as Section Officer/ Administrative Officer/ Executive or equivalent position in any educational Institute.
The candidate must have minimum 2nd division in both S.S.C and H.S.C examination. S/he must have high level of
proficiency in Computer applications. Highly academic clever will be given preferences. Condition may be relaxed in case of
highly experienced candidate.

(26) Section Officer (Admin) (Scale: 16,000 – 38,640, Grade-10) Number of Post: 1

The candidate must possess minimum 2nd class or CGPA 3.00 (in a scale of 4.00) in both Bachelor and Master degree in the
relevant field from a recognized University/ institute with at least 1 year professional experience as executive in any
educational Institute. Candidates must have expertise in basic practical experience, especially MS Word, Excel, FoxPro,
Dbase, Visual basic, Photoshop and Illustrator with high level language or equivalent in relevant branch. The typing speed of
the candidate should be at least 45 words in English and 25 words in Bengali per minute. There should not be any 3rd class
in any level of academic qualification. Condition may be relaxed in case of highly experienced candidate
(27) Technical Officer: Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE) (Scale: 16,000 – 38,640, Grade-10) Number of Post: 2

The candidate must possess a minimum 2nd division or CGPA 3.00 (in a scale of 4.00) in Diploma in Electrical and Electronic
Engineering from a recognized University/ institute. Candidate having B. Sc. degree in relevant field will be given
preferences. Condition may be relaxed in case of highly experienced candidate.

(28) Technical Officer: Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) (Scale: 16,000 – 38,640, Grade-10) Number of Post: 2

The candidate must possess a minimum 2nd division or CGPA 3.00 (in a scale of 4.00) in Diploma in Computer Science and
Engineering or Computer Technology from a recognized University/ institute. Candidate having B. Sc. degree in relevant field
will be given preferences. Condition may be relaxed in case of experienced candidate.

(29) Technical Officer: (Garments Manufacturing) (Scale: 16,000 – 38,640, Grade-10) Number of Post: 1

The candidate must possess a minimum 2nd division or CGPA 3.00 (in a scale of 4.00) in Diploma in Garments Technology or
Apparel Technology or Garments Manufacturing or Clothing Technology from a recognized University/ institute. Candidate
having B. Sc. degree in Apparel/Garments Manufacturing will be given preferences. Condition may be relaxed in case of
experienced candidate.

(30) Junior Officer (Accounts) (Scale: 12,500 – 30,230, Grade-11) Number of Post: 1

The candidate must possess minimum 2nd class or CGPA 3.00 (in a scale of 4.00) in Bachelor degree in Accounting from a
recognized University/ institute and at least 2 year’s professional experience in accounts section of any educational Institute.
Candidates must have expertise in basic practical experience, especially MS Word, Excel, FoxPro, Dbase, Visual basic,
Photoshop and Illustrator with high level language or equivalent in relevant branch. The typing speed of the candidate
should be at least 45 words in English and 25 words in Bengali per minute. There should not be any 3rd class in any level of
academic qualification.

(31) Lab Attendant (EEE) (Scale: 8,250 – 20,010, Grade-20) Number of Post: 1

The candidate must possess GPA 2.50 S.S.C (Vocational in Electrical) or S.S.C or equivalent examination with 3 year’s
experience as Lab Attendant in any recognized institution. The candidate having professional experience will be given
preference. Condition may be relaxed in case of highly qualified/experienced candidate.
(32) Lab Attendant (CSE) (Scale: 8,250 – 20,010, Grade-20) Number of Post: 1

The candidate must possess GPA 2.50 S.S.C (Vocational in Computer) or S.S.C or equivalent examination with 3 year’s
experience as Lab Attendant in any recognized institution. The candidate having professional experience will be given
preference. Condition may be relaxed in case of highly qualified/experienced candidate.
