A student, on account of a failing weighted average,
may be denied readmission subject to the SELECTIVE RETENTION AND READMISSION POLICIES of MAPÚA UNIVERSITY.
• For students who entered Mapua by 1st Quarter of
AY 2018-2019 • shall be done at the end of every academic year, at the end of every 4th quarter • includes all students who filed Leave of Absence (LOA) during that particular academic year REVIEW OF ACADEMIC STATUS Students Enrolled in a Program with Licensure Examination The following students will be dismissed from the program and will not be re-admitted in the program: • Those with a cumulative GWA of less than “3.50”
• Those who got failed marks in more than 50% of the
total number of units enrolled in that academic year
• In addition, the following program-specific rules shall
apply for: • BS Accountancy • BS Architecture • AB/BS Psychology REVIEW OF ACADEMIC STATUS Students Enrolled in a Program with NO Licensure Examination The following students will be dismissed from the program and will not be re-admitted in the program: • Those with a cumulative GWA of less than “3.75”
• Those who got failed marks in more than 75% of the
total number of units enrolled in that academic year
• The Academic Advisor shall confer with and advise the
parent and the student of the implication of the academic review REVIEW OF ACADEMIC STATUS Students Enrolled in a Program with NO Licensure Examination • No appeal for readmission shall be entertained. Students may apply for TRANSFER to another program; otherwise, secure transfer credentials from the Office of the Registrar
• A student who shall be denied TRANSFER to any
program shall NOT be re-admitted to the University. He must secure transfer credentials from the Office of the Registrar
• A student who has only 19 units or less remaining to

• Shifting is the process of transferring from one
program to another program of the same or another program group
• The programs offered by Mapua University are
classified into five (5) program groups: (a) Engineering and Science programs (b) Psychology programs (c) AR and INT programs (d) Accountancy program (e) Non-board programs POLICY IN SHIFTING TO ANOTHER PROGRAM

• Students removed from one program due to failure
to comply with the academic requirements may request for transfer to another program provided that he satisfies all the requirements of the accepting program (See Table above)
• To shift to multiple programs, the student must
satisfy all the criteria required by all accepting programs POLICY IN SHIFTING TO ANOTHER PROGRAM
• Students removed from one program due to failure
to comply with the academic requirements and who apply to shift to another program will not be allowed to transfer back to his previous program or to any program with licensure examination, regardless of an improved academic standing
• Students may shift for a number of times from one
program to another
• The Office of the Registrar shall evaluate all courses
