In C652/C360 and later series, users can change the bootup screen displayed on start-up.
The Boot Screen converter is a tool that converts image files to binary ones for the bootup screen
Before, to change the bootup screen, you need to enter command lines and edit binary files.
However with this tool, you can convert it easily by using GUI.

<How to use>
1. Start Boot Screen Converter.
2. Press [+] button and choose the file to convert. (You can drag and drop it, too.)

3. Preview will be displayed. Configure necessary settings, then press [Save] or [Save As] button
to save the settings.

Conversion Setting
General Scaling
None Uses the original image size, trimmed 800x480.
Best Fit Scales automatically to fit into 800x480. (Same aspect ratio)
Stretch Adjusts the size automatically to fit into 800x480. (Aspect ratio cha
Prescaling
None Same as General Scaling
Minerva / Zeus Stype Type
As pixels of Minerva / Zeus are not square, adjusts the image size
keep the same aspect ratio on the LCD screen.
Custom Vertically / horizontally adjustable
Fill transparent image area with custom colour
Fills the non-image area with a color chosen in Custom Colour.
Zoom Zooms the image.
Position Adjusts the image position with arrow buttons.
Save Saves the image as "Image file name_BootUpScreen.bin".
Save As You can specify a name when saving an image file.

4. When conversion competes, the following dialog will appear and the binary file(s) (.bin) will be
created in the same directory as the image file(s).

5. Change the file name to "BootUpScreen.bin" and copy it to a USB memory.


6. Insert the USB flash memory into a USB port of the MFP.
Switch to the Service Mode, and install the BootUp Screen.

Press [SET], and then press [Start] to install.

7. When it is installed successfully, turn OFF and ON the power (Either main power or sub power
fine.), and see if the bootup screen is properly changed.

<Supplementary Note>
For more accurate conversion, use 800x480 images. They fit into the LCD screen well.
