REACTION PAPER ABOUT ASGARDIA

Having a space nation is our fantasy since we are a child. It is also our dream
to be a part of it or to be a citizen of it. As we are influenced by the Sci-Fi movies
we are watching and dream of living seeing the view of the space, Igor Ashurbegli,
the founder of the Aerospace International Research center, proposed the Asgardia.

Asgardia is the first nation to have all of its territory in space. It is said that
the ultimate goal of the project is to create a new nation that allows access to outer
space free of the control of existing nations. But as my reaction to this is that yes in
paper and on what they are saying is all about the positive aspects but what if they
have hidden motives after establishing this nation and it was opened in public. So
for me I’m doubting and I’m nervous about it and is it even possible to live for
good in outer space. Something big like this that is not yet materialized or
manifested is encouraging people to become its citizen is something that I can’t
risk for.

Establishing a nation like this is okay but sometimes it’s not that convenient
to have a nation outside the earth because of the costs it takes. Being the first
means more risk and this a nation meaning many citizens are involved and when
failures will happen during the test and for me they should be more careful and
cautious about it because the lives of people are on their hands. Yes, their goal is
acceptable but they should be careful and rush things because people who lost their
lives during the first test cannot be brought back.
