Ask motivational questions leading to the topic such as:
How did you know the measure of your height and weight, the size of your feet and
waist?
How did you know about the temperature of your body?
What tools are used to measure weight, height and waistline and temperature?
The learner will be able to:
a. illustrates what it means to measure;
b. describes the development of measurement from the primitive to the
present international system of units; and
c. approximates the measures of quantities particularly length ,
weight/mass, volume, time, angle and temperature and rate.
The student will be given an activity. In which the will determine the
dimension of the teacher’s table following using only parts of your arms.
Record your results in the table below. Choose a classmate and compare your
results.
The students will record and result and compare it to their classmates.
The students will share the result to the class.
The teacher will discuss about the development of measurement from primitive to
present international system.
The students will discuss the importance of their body parts in the development of
measurement.
