soda and weight gain?
BODY
1. Leptin is a hormone secreted from fat cells that helps to regulate body weight.
a) This hormone acts to alter food intake and control energy expenditure over long term.
b) Thus, this hormone is responsible for telling our body when we should stop eating.
2. Sugar causes people feel full or not hungry, but artificial sweeteners repress the natural message of stop
eating and make people to eat more.
a) From this statement, we clearly know that this hormone directly linked to weight gain which, people will
experience rise in body weight if this hormone stops functioning.
b) This is because leptin stimulates a huge appetite and increase food intake when the level of this hormone
falls.

Closing Remark: Many people believe that diet soda is a suitable diet drink for them in order to
lose weight. But then, some researches have proven that diet sodas did not help in weight loss andyout can
gain weight instead of losing weight. It is perfectly okay to drink diet soda once in a while. Just understand
that diet soda isn’t a magic liquid that will melt the pounds away.
