I. Scope of Supply
A.) Engine Rebuild @ Contractor Workshop
 Completely clean new engine block.

 Paint new engine block.
 Install counterweights on new engine.
 Install con-rods, pistons, liners on new engine.
 Install con-rod bearings and thrust bearings on new engine.
 Install six (6) cylinder heads on new engine.
 Install fuel supply and return piping.
 Install complete fuel system on new engine.
 Install complete intake system on new engine.
 Install complete exhaust system on new engine.
 Install hot boxes on new engine.
 Install charge air cooler on new engine.
 Install turbocharger on new engine.
 Install pre-lube pump on new engine.
 Install lube oil pump on new engine.
 Install damper, ring gear and cover on new engine.
 Install water pumps and pipes on new engine.
 Install wiring harnesses and brackets.
 Install control systems.
 Install complete starting air system on new engine.
 Load new engine onto transporter.
This portion of the scope of supply is to be completed by the Workshop Technical Team over
an estimated Fifteen (15) working days. Shipping cradle for safe transport of rebuild engine
to be provided by Customer prior to start of this scope of supply.
B.) Overhaul of workshop components
The following components will be overhauled in Wartsila Workshop for standard

overhaul
 Cylinder Heads (incl starting valves) - 6 pc

 Rocker arm - 1 pc
 Piston - 5 pc
 Connecting Rod - 5 pc
 Cylinder Liner - 5 pc
 Fuel Injection pumps (including pump cover) - 6 pc
 Injector - 6 pc
 Governor, PGEG 58 - 1 pc
 Charge air cooler - 1 pc
 Water pump, HT/LT - 1 pc

 LO pump - 1 pc
This portion of the scope of supply is to be completed by the Contractor Workshop

based on standard overhaul prices. Any additional machining/work required found
during inspection will be quoted separately.
C.) Engine Re-installation @ Vessel

 Attend the vessel
 Couple engine to alternator
 Install all piping connections
 Check Crankshaft deflections and engine alignment after coupling with
alternator
This portion of the scope of supply is to be completed by the Two (2) Service Engineers
and the Customers personal over an estimated Four (4) working day and four (4) days
standby in anticipation of Delivery of complete engine to Vessel.
Chock fasting of engine, if required, will be Customer’s responsibility.
D.) Engine Commissioning @ Vessel
 Attend the vessel

 Perform commissioning of one (1) Engine
 Provide technical advice during the running in of one (1) Engine
 Provide technical advice during the sea trials for one (1) Engine
 Provide a detailed service report of findings, work performed, and any
recommendations for further action.
This portion of the scope of supply is to be completed by the Onboard Technical Team and the
Customers personal over an estimated Four (4) working day and two (2) days standby in anticipation
delays during chock fasting . This also includes One (1) Reporting Day for Lead Engineer
II. Charges for Scope of Supply
A.) Price
The estimated price for the Scope of Supply, according to section III A is:
One Hundred Thirty Four Thousand Five Hundred (USD 134,500)
The estimated price for the Scope of Supply, according to section III B is:
Thirty Seven Thousand One Hundred Ten (USD 37,110)
The estimated price for the Scope of Supply, according to section III C is:
Twenty Seven Thousand Two Hundred (USD 27,200)
The estimated price for the Scope of Supply, according to section III D is:
Thirty Two Thousand Three Hundred (USD 32,300)

The above prices do not include and shipping and freight charges
Special Daily Rates to be Applied:

Estimated Travel Cost associated with the completion of section III scope of supply are
excluded in the above prices. Travel Cost will be as follows:
Mobilization/De-mobilization Cost
Price for Mobilization/De-mobilization will be $1,200 per person per way will be
 Workshop Technical Team (4 pax x 2-way):
Nine Thousand Six Hundred Dollars (USD 9,600)
 On Board Technical Team (1 Elec SE x 2-way):
Two Thousand Four Hundred Dollars (USD 2,400)
This price includes airfare, travel time and per diem
B.) Customer Responsibilities
Price for this Proposal is contingent upon the Customer meeting the following
responsibilities outlined in Appendix I, Responsibility Matrix
III. Miscellaneous Terms and Conditions
A.) Validity of Proposal
Price is valid for thirty (30) days from Proposal Date.
B.) Payment Terms
Time and material invoicing based on Special Daily Rates is to be applied for the Scope
of Supply.

C.) Delivery Time
The delivery time is to be arranged upon confirmation of order.
D.) Terms of Delivery
All Contractor supplied equipment forming part of the Scope of Supply shall be
delivered DDP.

E.) Changes to the Scope of Supply
Changes to the Scope of Supply shall be subject to a change order and will be invoiced
as mutually agreed, by the Contractor and the Customer, at the time of service.
F.) Additional Work Labor Rates
The Special Daily Rates will be applied to any additionally needed work. Workshop
overhaul additional work will be quoted separately.
G.) Acceptance
Contractor’s Proposal is non-binding until the Contractor has acknowledged the

receipt of the Customer’s purchase order, issued in compliance with the terms of the
Proposal.
H.) Exclusions
Any work that is not completed by the Contractor is excluded from warranty
coverage under the General Terms and Conditions herein attached as Appendix xx
