Test, Measurement, Assessment & Evaluation

On every class instruction, for the teacher to know whether or not the students learned:
1. Teacher conducts a test (test)
rate mo sila accdng san aka set mong criteria.
Test – it is an instrument designed to measure a particular characteristic quality, ability, knowledge
or skill.

2. Where the teacher checks thru tests if the students learned (measurement)
Measurement - is the process of quantifying the degree to which someone or something possesses a
given trait.
3. A series of test is conducted/recorded for continuous follow-up of the learner’s performance.
(assessment)
By giving projects, tests.
Assessment – is the process of gathering and organizing quantitative of qualitative data into an
interpretable form to have a basis for judgement or decision-making

4. On top of all data, a judgement will be made whether or not the student can advance to the next
level. (evaluation)
Kapag nakapag decide ka na kung pwede na silang mag step up sa next level, that’s the only time na
e-evaluate mo ang total performance nila.

Classroom Assessment is therefore:

The observation of students in the process of learning and the collection of frequent feedback on
the student’s learning.
It helps teachers obtain useful feedback on what, how much, and how well the students are learning.

Steps:
1. Test
3. Assessment
It is a pre-requisite to evaluation.
measurement.
