TITLE: Cellular Phone Innovations in the 21st Century and it’s drawback

FINAL TITLE: Cellular Phone Innovations in the 21st Century Cyber-World: An Empirical Inquiry on its
Drawbacks.

RATIONALE OF THE STUDY: This study aims to analyze on the drawbacks of using innovative cellular
phones to students. In which innovative cellular phones has been believed to be helpful in terms of
fast access and easier communication, and it can also give disadvantages to students of too much
usage that can distract them in their studies.

TERMS TO BE DEFINED:

1. DRAWBACK: IT IS A FEAUTURE THAT RENDERS SOMETHING TO BE LESS ACCEPTABLE

2. Innovation: A process or an action of changing

3. CELLULAR PHONE: a telephone that can be used over a wide area for communication.

4. CYBER-WORLD: AN ONLINE ENVIRONMENT THAT MANY PARTICIPANTS ARE INVOLVED.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM:

This study will determine how innovations of cellular phones makes the College Students of the Central
Philippine Adventist lazier for the second semester of the school year 2019-2020 as the basis for the
proposed educational intervention plan.

This study aims to seek answers by the following sub-questions:

1. What are the different cellular innovations in terms of:

1.1 Features and Specifications and

1.2 Usability and Convenience

2. What are the respondents’ descriptions of cellular phone innovation?

3. What are students’ narrative experiences on the use of innovative cellular phones?

4. How does cellular phones helpful or make students lazier?

5. What intervention can be suggested to further inculcate proper awareness to students to lessen
the usage of innovative cellular phones?

HYPOTHESIS: there is no significant effect of cellular phones to the studies of the students.

RESEARCH DESIGNS: The researcher addressed the study through qualitative research approach in
narrative type.

DATA GATHERING INSTRUMENT:

Name: Data collection was done through by an interview-based in convenience sampling method in which
the interviewer asks several questions to be answered by the respondents randomly.
How will you check the validity:

The gathering of data was done with the students of College Students of the Central Philippine Adventist
. In collecting data, the researchers interviewed 10 random students with the instruments used, an audio
recorder device and a 3-paged interview questionnaire with two categories: students’ demographic
profile and questions narrating the experiences of students in innovative cellular phones. The researchers
then analyzed the data through thematic unit analysis in which the data are organized, coded into
concepts and interpreted based from the information gathered.
