We, the Hospitality Management Society (HMS) and Student Tourism Society (STS) would
like to request approval from your good Office to conduct 2019 Tourism Month Celebration
Annual Skills Competition on September 30, 2019 at PSU Gymnasium.

In connection with this years’ theme: “Tourism and Jobs: A Better Future for All”. HMS
and STS aims to organize a SKILLS COMPETITION that will highlight the Hospitality and
Tourism Management students’ aptitude, creativity and talent. Winners from this competition
will be encourage to represent PSU at the Annual National Tourism Students’ Congress with
Skills Competition organized by Union of Filipino Tourism Students (UFTS) on February 2020
and to other future skills competition with the same categories.

This will be a healthy competition that will demonstrate the knowledge and skills of HMS and
STS Members in their field of expertise The said competition will be composed with the
following categories:

 Quiz Bee
 Local Virtual Tour Guiding
 Poster and Slogan Making,
  Photography (Local Attraction / Future Career)
 Food Styling and Photography,
 Cocktail Mixing
 ASEAN National Costume Making (made up of Indigenous or Recycled Materials).

Furthermore, we would like to request for the approval of payment of the following from
the University Canteen:

All expenses shall be charge to Student Development Fund (SDF) subject to proper accounting
and auditing procedures.
