When the years pass by, Filipino's get attached to the different culture of the other countries
like what happened in the colonization years of the Spaniards, Americans, and Japanese.
They have a big impact to our culture and language. Filipino’s also adapt some influences in
other countries like China. But in today's generation there are more Filipino's that are getting
attached to South Korean’s language and culture because of idolizing the artist of Korea. Because
of that people are unaware that South Korea is unintentionally invading the Philippines. There is
also an issue that in exchange of Military equipment, Koreans will teach the Filipino’s of their
Language and Culture. And because of that there are some Filipino’s that argues to this issue.

South Koreans were practically everywhere in the Philippines; in malls, universities, country’s
top resorts, and even on local television shows. By now, Korean is colonizing us not by waging a
war but by culture and language. Slowly peoples mentality in the Philippines becomes a
territory of Koreans this is because of Korean Pop culture influencing them so coming to a near
point that people nowadays or teenagers to be exact are being invaded through mind by the
Koreans basically Filipino’s having colonial mentality as a result of this the Philippines
gradually becoming a territory of Koreans. Later time Filipino will become a property of Korea
not as by acquiring the land itself but by mentality of people. Korean culture is gradually
becoming a trend in today’s world as human evolve faster colonialism pierces through every
country by culture intrusions.

Korean culture is becoming a conqueror of land and seas breaching the lands, connecting every
part of the world. Based on researches almost every Filipino teenager is being addicted to Korean
culture. One of the most influential is the Kpop stars where they have their own bias and
Kdrama’s where oppa’s came from. It all started in the year 2009 where teenager girls are
addicted to Kpop boy group and Kdrama stars because of their physical appearances that make
Filipino teenagers to love them and consequently adapt to their culture.

Korean’s culture is being pass to filipino’s not just by Kpop and Kdrama’s but also in their
own cuisine and having restaurants to serve it. Also Korean’s tend to go in the Philippines to
start a business and invest for their own cuisine where they serve their specialty like
Samgyeopsal, Bibimbab, Kimchi jjigae and many more. In times like this Korean’s are in almost
all of the Philippines. Research says that Korean-language signs, can be seen and hear inside and
outside the resto. People tend to go to a Korean resto to experience and taste Korean dishes.

Because of this kind of mentality Filipino’s tend to learn and adapt Korean language and
culture to the point that they focus more on other countries cultures and languages. Filipino
nowadays is more interested in other languages and cultures instead of their own. Most of
Filipino teenagers are more likely to do things like copying Korean gestures like doing bows and
thanking in Korean style. Filipino’s tend to think that foreign cultures and traditions is better,
also Filipino’s think that for them other culture is cool and now people lacking of a nationalistic
spirit forgetting who they are
