A Good Teacher

Most people are born from education process at school and can’t be separated from the role
of a teacher. A teacher has a huge responsibility to improve the nation’s education. Not only related
to the achievement of the students in the class but also the success of the student’s life. Then, what
exactly qualities that a good teacher should have? There are at least three various qualities that a
good teacher should have, such as disciplined, fair, and skillful.

Disciplined is the first quality that a good teacher should have. For a good teacher,
discipline especially of time in teaching is very influential on students’ achievement. A good
teacher should be a role model for each student, so they will have the motivation to learn harder.
Nevertheless, if the teacher is not disciplined, the students will underestimate the learning activity
and become lazy, so it will affect the result of students’ learning. Therefore, the discipline of a
good teacher is demanded in terms of teaching time, so the expected goals can be achieved well.

Teacher is a leader. Like a true leader, the important value that a good teacher should have
is the fair. Thus the teachers’ greatest challenge as a leader is to consistently uphold the justice.
Although it is very difficult thing to do, the teacher should be able to do it. If they are not, the
development of the study achievement will be hampered especially for some neglected students.
Without fairness, teachers will tend to like smart and good-looking students who learn often get
some praises. On the contrary, the students who learn too late and behave badly often get
reprimanded. The way will reduce the spirit of the students in learning especially the neglected
students.

The last thing that a good teacher should have is the skillful. Mastering the teaching
material before entering the classroom and delivering the lesson is an absolute price that can’t be
negotiable, because the material that the teacher explain or give to them must clearly, so the
students can accept it easily. The good teacher also must have their own way to create an exciting
class.

In short, a good teacher is very important for the development of the nation’s education
because they print the nation’s generation. They must be disciplined because they are the main
model for the students, they also must be fair to make all students keep the spirit in learning, and
have skillful, so they can create the exiting and pleasant class to make the students understand the
material given clearly and easily.
