The primary baskets that are being ordered would be basics like bridal shower baby shower birthday
parties customized baskets goody bags wedding events like mehndi parcels, baraat wedding and much
more for your every occasion.

They could well be the closest thing to the perfect gift because they can be totally customized to suit
the giver, the recipient, the occasion and the desired price. For some people, creating them is the
perfect business: an opportunity to be artistic, creative and certainly it's an industry with tremendous
"fun" potential. You get to buy lots of cute, clever gift items; you get to pull those items together in an
attractive container and create a charming presentation; and you get to provide a product that delivers
infinite pleasure to the recipient. Both givers and receivers of gift baskets appreciate the creativity and
uniqueness of the concept.

our business idea is to start an gift wrapping business through social media websites like Facebook, at
which we would be creating our page through which we can communicate contact and interact through
our customers, the online page is far much convenient option as customers can easily explore the
sample and catalogs, the major purpose is to provide our customers a luxury service during their
occasions like wedding, birthday parties etc. we will be taking their items and deliver their goods to

COMPANY GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
The objectives for the first three years of operation include:

 To create a home-based company whose primary goal is to exceed customer's expectations?

 To increase the number of clients served by at least 20% per year through superior performance
and word-of-mouth referrals.
 To develop a sustainable home business, surviving off its own cash flow.

The goals for the initial years of company would be:

 To provide our customers an outstanding service.

 To serve our customers with quality and time regularity
 To provide our customers gifts wraps that compliments perfectly with their event.
 To save warehousing cost and to invest those savings in to our productivity.
 To utilize our talents efficiently.
 Targeted costumers would be those working or house wives having lack of assistance for doing
other wrapping or creativity jobs their occasion chaos.
 To provide our customers updated online catalogs through which they can choose their choice.
 Pricing would also be mentioned along with the designs for costumes convenience.

BUSINESS PHILOSOPHY
They could well be the closest thing to the perfect gift because they can be totally customized to suit
the giver, the recipient, the occasion and the desired price. For some people, creating them is the
perfect business: an opportunity to be artistic, creative and entrepreneurial.

The product is gift baskets. And as artistic, creative and entrepreneurial minds of us, we've decided this
is the business for us. Certainly it's an industry with tremendous "fun" potential. You get to buy lots of
cute, clever gift items; you get to pull those items together in an attractive container and create a
charming presentation; and you get to provide a product that delivers infinite pleasure to the recipient.
Both givers and receivers of gift baskets appreciate the creativity and uniqueness of the concept.

There's also a respectable profit potential. As popular as they are, the market for gift baskets is still wide open
and the sales opportunities are virtually limitless. But this isn't a game; it's a serious business. It doesn't require a
great deal of startup capital--many successful gift basket businesses were started with just a few hundred dollars.
What it does require is thoughtful planning, preparation and commitment fueled by a strong dose of excitement
and enthusiasm.

The thing which is most important for us is our talent which we are investing in a business its ac creativity an art
and most of above its our passion which we will expand and prosper day by day by our new up to date and would
be updated upon attest trend of industry.

TARGETED MARKET
The market for gift basket businesses is no longer limited to a single consumer looking for a unique gift.
At one time, women made up the largest segment of the industry's market, both as customers and
basket recipients. But that situation is changing. The two primary gift basket markets are now the
individual gift-giver and the corporate client. Both can be lucrative and fun to serve.

The individual gift-giver is more likely to be a woman. This is because men may order a gift basket, but
they typically only think of it after they've seen one. Women are more likely to have seen, sent or
received gift baskets. Therefore, they're better able to picture the basket they have in mind for
someone even if they don't actually have one in front of them as they might in a retail store. Also,
women are more likely to know that custom baskets make great gifts.

Another reason women buy more gift baskets than men is that wives, mothers and girlfriends often
assume the responsibility of buying gifts on behalf of the men in their lives, even when the recipient is
the man's friends, relatives or co-workers.

Gift basket buyers tend to be in the moderate- to upper-income levels, so your market research needs
to include finding out where people in this particular demographic shop.

INDUSTRY ANALYZES
There are many different forms of competition in the gift basket business:

1. Similar gift basket type retail stores: There are several of these stores located in Karachi.
These competitors offer a wide range of gift baskets; however none of them are
concentrating on online catalogs and home devilry.
2. Gift shops: There are several stores that concentrate on gift items and their wrapping.
3. Bath product gift basket companies: There is currently very little gift basket company that
concentrates on bath products. Bath products have a slightly smaller population of people
who appreciate these products (as women predominately appreciate bath products more
than men do).
4. Regional gift basket: There is one retailer that sells gift baskets composed of local products.
These type of baskets tend to appeal to people that are buying gifts for people that are not
from this area.
5. Candy gift baskets: There are several candy stores that offer, as one on their products, a
candy gift basket. Similar to the bath products basket, candy typically appeals to women a bit
more so than men.

6|Page
The purchasing of gift baskets is very "seasonal." More than half of the gift basket purchasing occurs
during a wide variety of holidays.

There is an growing industry for this business as new trends of several occasion like baby shower

The other factors that give us advantage are:.

 Very few are offering home service.

opportunity for us.

PRICING OF OUR PRODUCT

The pricing actually depends upon the kind costumer has opt for example there is a difference when
costumer offer is own goods and only our job is to pay for them otherwise if the customer goes with
ready-made baskets for the particular event that would be different, not only this but the price would
also be different on the size of product and material used in it.

The average pricing strategy that is set is as below:

 Baskets for average size with the stuff would be ranging in between 3500-4500.
 Baskets same size only wrapping excluding goods would be: 1500-1700.
 And other gifts without basket vary for instance with flowers and good quality wraps may be in
between: 250-450.

Prices may be varied upon the changes in wrapping materials and additional detailed demanded by
costumers other than the catalogs sample additional costs would be incurred by other details.

PRICE
The pricing strategy we are going to use is the price skimming strategy. Price Skimming, as we know, is a
strategy in which a marketer sets a relatively high price for the products/services at the start of the
business and then lowers the price over time. Similarly, as we have competitive advantage over our
competitors, we have decided to set a high price for wrapping gifts just for the first few months of our
business to maximize revenues and then gradually over time, bring the prices to an average.

If we compare the prices set by our competitors to the price we will set, it varies. Some of our
competitors such as “Tawwakul Boxes” and “Universal” have comparatively very high prices for gift
wrapping. “Sara’s Creation” has decided to charge the price according to the quantity of gifts needed to
be wrapped. The rest of our competitors have comparatively low prices. We believe that price is an
important competitive factor as well as other factors such as quality. As a gift wrapping business, we
have decided to never compromise on quality and to give our customers more than what they are
expecting. In other words, we want our customers to be delighted!

Our customer services include offering delivery when and wherever the customer wants.

PROMOTION
To spread awareness about the products/designs we offer, we are going to use social media websites
such as Facebook. Since Facebook is growing more and more popular and is thus used by millions of
people worldwide it is a great way to spread information about almost anything. Through a Facebook
page (named Wrapping Desires), we can show people our different varieties of wrapping designs and
gift baskets we provide. Any queries can also be taken care of through private messaging/commenting.

We are also going to create our own website through which booking and orders can be placed. The
website will have complete and detailed information about our business; the types of gift wrapping
available, types and prices of gift baskets, delivery information, when and where to contact etc.

The main reason for choosing only social media as a means of promoting our business is because we are
not doing a business on a large scale. Word of mouth is another way for our business to reach every
corner.

We will also promote our page on websites like olx.com, daraz.pk, listinggift.com.

23 | P a g e
Our aim is not just to wrap gifts. We want to deliver gifts decorated in the most unique and elegant way
that will make occasions even more beautiful and memorable!

COMPETITORS ANALYSIS
ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL FACTORS
The total size of our market is almost 1800

MARKET SHARE
We would not be facing competition as this service is very new in Pakistan in different areas. The market share of
this service is 2.2 and we can gain high market share of 3 because this is the opportunity to increasing demand
for innovation services.

CURRENT DEMAND

gift wrapping market.

GROWTH TRENDS

shows that 28% have net access and another problem is low literacy rate in our country but though the
population using online services is low but it’s expected to increase in future.

TRENDS IN PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

Product development trends remains crucial to organizations survival prosperity. Development speed occurs
more quickly as the internet services and facilities increasing day by day and by the technology enhancement.
Customer’s involvement becomes more easily achieved by using the internet to bring customers ideas into the
product design process. Consumers are very willing to try new product. Every product innovation comes with the
risk of failure and the undisputed likelihood is that the resources devoted to creating a new product will be lost
but by listening closely to the signals consumers send everyday about their needs wants and preferences. By
analyzing consumers data marketers can see what consumers are more likely to buy and developing offering that
matters most and by doing so early in the new product development process brands can avoids fads and trends
that not match their brands.

24 | P a g e

line of handicrafts and cottage industry and today people are willing to go that extra mile and put in some efforts
to wrap a gift item in a special way instead of just putting it in some carry bag or wrapping it some shiny, glossy
paper.

Gift wrapping is booming industry but it’s still its nascent stage and hence the scope for growth and expansion is
immense. Packaging is not limited to wedding ceremonies but also needed for corporate gifting, personals
