Schedule

EQUIPMENT:
Equipment and systems covered by this certificate are as follows:

The  3-6VFD#  and 3-6VFD#AL  Pilot Valves comprise a rectangular aluminium alloy enclosure containing solenoid pilot valves. The
enclosure comprises two halves, which when fitted together form a flanged joint. The lid is secured by ten M6 x 20 hexagonal socket
cap head screws. The enclosure may contain up to six electrical solenoids, which activate up to six pneumatic valves. The valve ferrule
tube forms a cylindrical (interference fit) joint with the enclosure. In the event of a leak process media is vented external to the
flameproof enclosure.  Cable entry facilities are provided by means of a single M25 x 1.5 or 3/4 inch NPT threaded entry facility
designed to be installed with a suitably certified cable entry facility.

The 3-6VFD# and 3-6VFD#AL Pilot Valves are identical with respect to their design and construction with the exception of the O-Ring
materials used.

Coil Voltage Cycle Power

200/240 V 50/60 Hz 25 W

100/120 V 50/60 Hz 22 W

SPECIFIC CONDITIONS OF USE: YES as shown below:

1. In accordance with clause 5.1 of EN 60079-1, the critical dimensions of the ferrule tube flamepaths are

Gap (i) = -0.03 mm (interference fit)

Width (L) = 10.67 mm

2. When the equipment utilises the optional e-coating, an electrostatic warning is applied as the equipment is
considered to be an electrostatic charging hazard and must only be cleaned using a damp cloth

3. The temperature class is defined by the appropriate ambient temperature as stated in the tables below:

DETAILS OF CERTIFICATE CHANGES (for issues 1 and above):

Issue 1 to Issue 5 – for changes refer to Issue 5

Issue 6 – this Issue introduced the following changes:

1 To increase the ambient temperature range of the 3-6VFD****A to

from -20°C to +40°C, to -20°C to +55°C when the anti-
condensation heater is not used.

2 Recognition of minor drawings modifications.

Issue 7 – this Issue introduced the following changes:

1 The introduction of Nitrile NBR 4117 as an alternative seal

material for the 3-6VFD#AL.

2 To increase the ambient temperature range of the 3-6VFD#,

when the anti-condensation heater is not used, from (-20°C to
+55°C), to (-40°C to +76°C) for a T6 (T85°C) temperature
class and to (‑40°C to +82°C) for a T5 (T100°C) temperature
class.

3 To increase the ambient temperature range of the 3-6VFD#,

when the anti-condensation heater is used, from (-20°C to
+40°C), to (-40°C to +40°C).

4 To increase the ambient temperature range of the 3-

6VFD#AL, when the anti-condensation heater is not used,
from (-52°C to +40°C), to (-52°C to +76°C) for a T6 (T85°C)
temperature class and to (‑52°C to +82°C) for a T5 (T100°C)
temperature class.

5 The following condition of manufacture was added for the 3-

6VFD# model, after identifying that it had been omitted in
error on certificate issue 5. ‘The heater shall be set to turn on
at a temperature of +10°C, and turn off at a temperature of
+24°C’.

6 Recognition of minor drawing modifications not affecting the

compliance of the equipment.
