INTR 1020 Final Reflection Prompts

1. You began this course by exploring your future career and creating a Weebly page that
described the qualifications and skills necessary to be successful in that career. In 3-5,
well written sentences tell us what career you chose and why you want to follow this
path. What is your motivation? If your choice no longer attracts you, what alternative
are you considering and why do you think this is a better match?

Ans: I chose this and decided to follow this career path because of much happiness it
brings to families, being able to accept a new member into their respected families and helping
women with their health issues was the main reason why I chose OBGYN as the career I want to
pursue.

2. In the second week you brought a set of notes to class and reviewed them with a
partner. Afterwards you revised them to make them more useful for learning. In 3-5,
well written sentences describe what changes you made to your notes and explain why
you found this helpful.

Ans: The changes I made to my class notes were how I went over it with my peers and, I
took time to read and analyze it well. I took my time in writing the note, that way it
helped me when I needed something to read that’s what I found helpful.

3. In week 3 you came up with a degree plan. In 3-5, well written sentences describe what
you hope to achieve at UCBA and what plan to do after UCBA.

Ans: I hope to achieve a very good grades in my classes whereby I can achieve the GPA
required by most major medical colleges in the country. In other hands I plan n studying
hard and being on time and avoiding waiting till deadline before doing my works

4. In the fourth week you started doing research on your chemical substance. In 3-5, well
written sentences describe your compound and what you found out about it.

Ans: I had to research chlorine and had to research how it was created, who created it
and the questions we would like to know concerning or chemical. I found out that
chlorine was discovered by Carl W. Scheele and chlorine is from a Greek word called
khloros.

5. In week 5, using Bloom’s Taxonomy levels as a guide, you wrote questions about the
chapter you had read in the Poisoner’s Handbook. Share with us your two best
questions and in 3-5, well written sentences say why you picked them.

How was mercury first discovered?


It was first observed through the telescope in the seventeenth century by astronomers
Galileo Galilei and Thomas Harriot.

2. How dangerous is Mercury?


When mercury is inhaled by human it affects the nervous, digestive and immune system
and maybe fatal to other important parts of the human body.

5. In week 6 you did an assessment of an exam and reviewed how you had prepared for it.

6. Threaded through the whole course has been the Poisoner’s Handbook. In 3-5, well

case particularly interesting?

Ans: what made my case particularly interesting is how an actress died due to
contacting with mercury(poison), also what I enjoyed most about my chapter was how
Gertrude family accused his Webb of being the murderer of Gertrude but after no
evidence all charges were dropped.

8. Another piece of the course was creating an e-portfolio (Weebly) that allowed you to
build a professional online image as a UCBA student. In 3-5 well written sentences tell
us what pages you found particularly useful and why.

Ans: what if found useful about creating my weebly site is how I was able to Navigate through
the app, I had a little bit of struggles navigating through it, but it was worth the try. Also, it
quite easy to access.

9. And finally, in 5-8 well written sentences tell us what things you really enjoyed in the
course and why. What things should we keep in for next semester?
Ans: In all, I really enjoyed everything associated with this class, all the modules we worked
on, the career planning, notes taking, degree planning, research and critical thinking,
test taking resources and every activate done in class.
Personally, I think everything should be kept and nothing should be taking out. I had a nice
time and with the weekly cookie treat is the best.
