Some people think that countries should isolate themselves from the world while others do not think

so.
Personally speaking, I do not agree with the idea of countries isolating themselves from the rest of the
world. Countries can have numerous benefits if they work in collaboration with other nations and
maintain friendly foreign relationships.

First of all, having friendly relation with other countries can help in the upliftment of economic conditions
of the country. The nations can establish trade routes, exchange products and goods which would
ultimately benefit both nations. Countries can trade the products that are not typically available in other
countries which can generate a lot of income as well as prosperity. For instance, the supply of coffee from
Brazil to countries where the production environment are not suitable can help Brazil to greatly contribute
in its economy.

Countries who do not isolate themselves can also get help in case of any emergency that might afflict a
nation. For example, Nepal faced a 7.9 magnitude devastating earthquake in 2015 and the economy and
military forces were not enough to provide support to thousands of people. During this time of emergency
different countries sent help and relief aids to help Nepal. This would not be possible if Nepal intended to
isolate itself from the rest of the countries. There are many examples as such in which countries who have
engagement in friendly relations are assisted by other countries in time of need.

Another reason why countries should engage themselves with others would be to have a global co-
operation. This can be co-operation among the people from different countries or even co-operation for
a global cause such as global warming, environment pollution and many more. It is also the engagement
of the countries in friendly relations that ultimately ended the devastating wars such as World Wars.
Therefore, the engagement with other countries can largely reduce conflicts between them.

As the modern world has become a global village, engagement with other countries can greatly influence
the sharing of technological advancements and information. The countries can share their knowledge and
exchange them with other countries to strive for the so called unachievable things. We can see the
examples of the biggest industries like Google, Microsoft, SpaceX, etc. hiring people from all over the
world in order to exchange different knowledge which would contribute to the greater good of the whole
world.

In the final analysis, I conclude that countries should engage with other nations. It is their engagement
that might help them to have an overall development and prosperity in their nations.
