August 2007 Engineer/Scientist, Level 5 for IDS ISS Herndon, VA. Duties include
to Present radar and navigation analysis for a proprietary program. Frequent travel
and Top Secret clearance required. Principal RE for a major subsystem.
TS clearance update was last done in the summer of 2007.
March, 2004 Engineer/Scientist, Level 5 for IDS St. Louis, Missouri. Duties include
to radar analysis for F-18 AESA program. Flight data analysis using
August 2007 probability of detection models in Fortran and matlab analysis.
White papers included SAR Target Location Error.Algorithm
development. Mentored junior engineers via classes taught in navigation
and radar. Oklahoma City experience was in TF (terrain following).
Summer Summer Researcher for TASC. Task involved solving a height problem
of using transformation of coordinates, DTED data, and JAVA as a tool. This
1998 was a three month position during a summer off from Phd. work.
Summers Summer Faculty Research Scientist for AFOSR at Wright Patterson Air
of Force Base in the summer1992 and Eglin Air Force Base in the summers
1992-1996 of 1993, 1994, and 1996. Tasks for these positions respectively were
simulation and modeling, statistical target model analysis, rewriting of
code from Fortran to ADA for a model, and image processing using
wavelet analysis for data compression techniques.
1989 Senior Software Analyst for a software firm in Alabama. Tasks involved
to writing B-spline algorithms for applications such as conic intersections
1990 (eg. sphere/sphere, cylinder/sphere, ellipse/cylinder). Tools included C
programming on a UNIX minicomputer workstation.
Other employment includes two years of statistical analysis for the State
of Tennessee Air Pollution Technical Services from 1975-1977, one year
of high school teaching from Fall of 1980 to Spring of 1981 after
finishing my M.S. degree., three years of teaching at a two year technical
institute from 1981-1983, and a year of systems analysis experience
providing presales and postsales support in the year of 1984 with Precision
Data (formerly Mohawk Data Sciences).
Accomplishments: Four articles published with the AFOSR, and four times selected
for AFOSR appointment for research. in a competitive environment (a
1:5 selection ratio among faculty applicants) for four years. White paper
written for Boeing, St. Louis IDS on SAR target location error in 2004.
