A. Course Design

Course Title : COMPUTER SYSTEM SERVICING

Nominal Duration : 280 HOURS

Qualification Level: NCII

Course Description : This course is designed to develop & enhance the


knowledge, skills, & attitudes of a Computer Systems Service Technician, in
accordance with industry standards. It covers the basic and common
competencies in addition to the core competencies such as to install and
configure computers systems, set-up computer networks and servers and to
maintain and repair computer systems and networks.

It covers the basic, common and core competencies.

Candidate/trainee must possess the following qualifications, must be:

 Able to communicate both oral and written


 Physically and mentally fit.
 With good moral character.
 Can perform basic mathematical and logical computations.
 Analytical and logical thinking

COURSE DELIVERY : The training is based on curriculum developed from


the competency standards. Learning is modular in
its structure. Training delivery is individualized and
self-paced. Training is based on work that must be
performed. Training materials are directly related to
the competency standards and the curriculum
modules. Assessment is based on the collection of
evidence of the performance of work to the industry
required standard. Training is based both on and off-
the-job components. Allows for recognition of prior
learning (RPL) or current competencies. Training
allows for multiple entry and exit; and Approved
training programs are Nationally Accredited.

Qualification of Instructor/Trainers: BASED ON TR

or its equivalent

 Must be a holder of a Computer System Servicing NC level II or

Module Descriptor : This unit covers the knowledge and skills required
by bakers and pastry cooks to store desserts in accordance
to the standard procedures and package desserts required
by the clientele.

Nominal Duration : 50 hours
