project Can the use of bilingual learners’ first
languages in an Early Years setting improve their
Communication and Language and Literacy
achievement? by completing a questionnaire . This
research project is part of my 3rd assignement for the
postgraduate programme Bilingualism in Education. The
survey will ask questions about the use of home/first
language with your child and your knowledge on your
child’s expected attainment according to Early Years
Foundation Stage . It is my hope that data from this
survey will contribute to a better understanding of how
positive results using home languages can bring when
accessing the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
curriculum.

Responses are anonymous, ( no identifiable information will be
collected and no one, including the researcher/research team will know
who you are because the information will be coded]. However, the data
may be used in publications/presentations.
