BRUIN COACHING STAFF STAFF
ERIN LANE — HEAD COACH
Coach Lane enters her second season as the Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Coach for the Bruins. Coach Lane was a
standout runner at Battle Creek Central and Pennfield high schools and earned three state 800-meter titles, several USA
Track & Field National Champion titles at the 800 and a full athletic scholarship to the University of Michigan, where
she contributed to three Big Ten team titles. Lane graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Sports
Management and was an assistant track and cross country coach at Olivet College from 2004-2006 and also the track and
cross country coach at Pennfield High School from 2016-2018

ROB LILLIE — ASSISTANT COACH


Coach Lillie enters his second season with the Bruins. Coach Lillie has worked in the running community for over 20 years.
Lillie graduated from Western Michigan University in 2002 with an Exercise Science degree. He worked for Gazelle Sports in
Kalamazoo before starting his own business, Lillie Training & Inspiration, in 2011. His passion for running helped develop
his business that focuses on working with athletes to develop the proper physiology and mechanics for running.

BRAD POLNASEK — ASSISTANT COACH


Coach Polnasek enters his second season with the Bruins. Polnasek received his teaching degree from Albion College while
playing two sports collegiately. He is in his 9th year as a public school teacher, teaching middle and elementary physical ed
with the Pennfield school district. Previously, Polnasek was head cross country coach at Colon Community Schools. In his
spare time, he participates in ultra-running endurance events such as 50 and 100-mile trail races throughout the Midwest.
