 Nursing Plan Coronary Heart Disease
Coronary heart disease is a narrowing of the small blood vessels that supply blood and
oxygen to the heart. Coronary heart disease (CHD) is also called coronary artery disease.
Coronary artery disease develops when the major blood vessels that supply your heart with
blood, oxygen and nutrients (coronary arteries) become damaged or diseased.

Etiology

The presence of coronary atherosclerosis in which the disparity in the intima started
patchy fibrous (fibrous plaque) and subsequent ulceration, bleeding, calcification and
thrombosis. Travelling in the incidence of atherosclerosis is not only caused by a single factor,
but weighed down also many other factors such as hypertension, lipid levels, smoking, blood
sugar levels are abnormal.
