Dear Parents/Caregivers/ Guardians,

My name is Harpreet Kang I am currently from University of South Australia and currently studying a Bachelor of
Education Primary and Middle. My two minors that I specialise in are HASS and Health. I feel privileged to be able to
spend time at Mawon Lakes Primary School whilst I partake my professional experience placement. I have been at
the school for the past few days and will start my 4 week-block next week. During this time, I will be teaching
Mathematics, English, Science, Fitness and History, as well as gradually taking over the leadership of the classroom
routines.
I believe that teaching is a profession which requires teachers to be enthusiastic and determined to help all students
succeed and that good teachers are those who go above and beyond expectation to help students. My willingness to
get involved in education is to educate students through a variety of multimodal texts, to work with students in a
variety of settings, from individual support, to group support and whole class teaching and to give all students an
equal opportunity to learn about the world they live in. I believe that education is one of the most powerful weapons
educators can use to change the world.
My core philosophy as a teacher is to form positive relationships with students, teachers and the community. Which
will assist with providing an inclusive learning environment where students can be hands on and innovative.
