MARKETING INFORMATION

Philippines is a tropical country and is located near the equator, which makes it subjected

to sun rays; therefore, it has a hot weather especially in the month of May. As a result, most of

the people in Philippines wear caps and uses fans to at least help cool down the temperature.

Caps or hats is a head covering which is used for various reasons such as a protection

against weather conditions or as a fashion statement. Caps have a numerous benefit to us; it

lowers your risk for skin cancer since it covers your head and face from the sun's direct rays.

Wearing a cap keeps you cool, in terms of design they draw perspiration away from your head

therefore, it keeps you cool through evaporating sweat.

Fan is a machine that produces airflow. A fan consists of a rotating arrangement of vanes

or blades which act on the air. It is typically used to cool down the temperature in machines and

of course it is used to cool people. It Improves air circulation and temperature helps us to lessen

our sweating due to the heat. A solar fan is a fan that uses sun rays in order to function.

We chose to combine both caps and solar fans to help people to cool down or to lessen

the heat that is being experienced from the head. Solar Fan Cap is efficient, effective and

environmentally friendly. A person can use the cap with a solar fan when it is hot to relieve the

heat and achieve comfortability. It will also help prevent heatstroke.


Demand Analysis

These days, people always buy caps and fan to help them relieve the heat they are

experiencing. Combining both caps and solar fan will help them save more money since they

will get two products in one and it will help them feel more comfortable especially in their head.

Target Market

The target market of Solar Fan Cap are people, specifically male and female aged 13 to

55 years old especially those who experiences heat. The target market of the product is basically

everyone who is subjected to heat.

Our business will attract different customer profile:

 Students – mostly the students who studies in a public school since most public schools

have poor ventilation. Public schools such as:

- Polytechnic University of the Philippines

- Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Manila

- Technological University of the Philippines etc.

 Commuters – since commuters are most likely the people that is subjected to heat

especially when stuck in traffic or when walking.

 Health Conscious – especially people who doesn’t want their face to be damaged by the

sun rays since the solar fan cap protects their face from sun rays.

 Others – people who wants to relieve the heat they are feeling because of the sun rays and

other people who wants to buy the product.

The primary target of the enterprise are the students and commuters since they are the

ones who is primarily subjected to heat.

Supply Analysis

We decided to put our business near schools and supplies in department stores because

students nowadays want to make their life way easier so it is a great opportunity to attract

students and make a profit. The supply will be kept constant, the costs would go up and if it is

needed to keep the costs constant then supply would go down hence driving the prices up if the

demand is unchanged.

Competition Analysis

There are shops in malls where you can see Penshoppe, Oxygen and Uniqlo that all sells

variety of clothings and different kinds and designs of caps. Miniso also sells variety of

clothings, accessories, phone cases, stuff toys and many others.

As shown in the Exhibit the division of the potential competitors share in the market has

a total number of 119 customers per day. Penshoppe having 36.46%of the market share in terms

of the numbers of their customer per day. Oxygen is on the second having 31.25%of market

share, followed by Uniqlo that has 16.67% market share and lastly, the Miniso having 15.62% of

the market share.
