Narrative Report

2019 Nutrition Month Celebration

The Tabio National High School (TNHS) conducted 2019 Nutrition Month Celebration with the
theme “Kumain nang wasto at maging aktibo… push natin ‘to!” on August 2, 2019. The
Aerobics exercise and daily routine execises were used as part of the Nutrition Month
Celebration lead by the different Club organizations of the school. The program for the Nutrition
Month Celebration start exactly at 9:00 in the morning.

The program start by Mrs. Lolin V. ayong, TLE teacher by starting her opening message about
the celebration. Sir Eric D. udacion, Teacher-in-Charge give his inspirational message to the
participants, parents, students and teachers regarding on why we were celebrating the said
program. Next is, Mrs. Rhealyn B, Wagang, , who give also her inspirational message to all the
participants, students, parents and teachers, it was a short and sweet message but it was truly a
meaningful one followed by our very own Honorable Midred P. Aswigue have her inspirational
message regarding on why we should take care of our health and what should we do to be
healthy. For the program proper Ms. Mae Ann R. Daganos, MAPEH teacher gives the
orientation guidelines and rubrics regarding the contest.

After the orientation proper the participants go to their respective areas to start their contest. The
participants on poster making contest, Nutri-jingle contest, Nutri-quiz, and cooking contest were
coming from the different grade levels.

The awarding for the participants starts at exactly 2:00 in the afternoon with the presence of Ms.
Merna N. Banggawan, School Guidance Teacher and Mrs. Caridad G. Pasayan and Lolin V.
Ayong, the TLE teachers. The awardess were given a group price of cleaning materials to be use
in their classrooms and an individual prizes includes school supplies. The awarding ceremony
ends exactly at 3:30 in the afternoon.

Health and Wellness Program

Human beings need food and exercise in order to stay strong and healthy. But this food must be
changed into a form that the body cells can use. The food we eat contains stored energy to do our
daily activities. Exercise is one way to balance and improve individual’s healthy lifestyle every
day.

The three food groups GO, GROW, and GLOW foods and/ or the Pinggang Pinoy served as a
guide to meet the energy and nutrients needed by every individuals.

Accepting challenge to join the health and wellness campus activity which was created and
conducted by the school. The students and teachers of Tabio National High School tried their
best to come up with a good activity that focuses on the health and wellness every day. They
believed that through the health and wellness activity, it will boost proper nutrition of the
students including teachers and improve their nutritional status.

Every morning after flag ceremony we conducted a short routine exercise and dance moves
before going to the classrooms. The objectives of the exercise activity is to perform Physical
Fitness Activity with the integration of dancing, music and fitness exercises regularly, engage in
a meaningful, alive and danceable exercises, appreciate the good effects of exercise in one’s
body and mind, and improve muscle strength and endurance.

The teachers from grades 7 to 10 and so with the MAPEH Teachers from grades 7 to 12
integrated health and wellness in their daily lessons especially in Science, TLE and ESP likewise
they disseminated the importance of proper nutrition among parents through General and
Homeroom PTA meeting. They also conducted group games in their lessons.

Most of them showed their active participation and cooperation in this healthy activity because
they believe in the saying that “Health is Wealth”.
