ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT
2019
1. Difference or relationship that the environmental impact assessment has with
the environmental impact study.

The relationship between the environmental study and the environmental impact
assessments is that both are developed mainly in a preventive manner, however, there is
also the case where they can be developed in a corrective manner.

When talking about the environmental impact study, it refers to the technical analysis
that is carried out in each of the phases of a project, taking into account the activities
that are going to be developed and the environment in which they are going to be
developed, in this way it is possible to determine the actions that produce an impact and
thus be able to prevent future damages.

Environmental impact assessments are procedures that show the environmental effects
caused by the execution of a given project, this impact assessment is carried out before
carrying out public works, thus anticipating atmospheric impacts, water, geological,
human population, fauna, flora, etc. .
2. Analytical summary

There are different environmental assessment methods that can be used in constructions,
each assessment method should be applied depending on the circumstances in which a
construction is planned or designed, by circumstances we talk about the type of soil,
climate, geographical location, policies of the place, etc. . , these evaluation methods
must be applied as soon as possible to foresee environmental damages in time and thus
prevent them, however most of the time it is not carried out in this order, so they
consider doing the environmental evaluations when the design of the construction is
already there, being that the changes are not carried out adequately, but only to comply
with the norm superficially.
It can be said that this way the most advanced method of environmental evaluation is
applied in a construction, it does not guarantee that good results will be obtained, if the
method is not applied in a correct way, following the step by step, in an organized way
and fulfilling each one of the points of this one, since the methods of environmental
evaluation are only a technical methodological tool of support, and it must be applied by
an interdisciplinary evaluating team that this qualified to carry out the method.
