The Practice Routine Generator

www.DrummingSystem.com

This Practice Routine Generator is designed to help get the most out of your practice time. It will help you
build an efficient drumming schedule to maximize your practices and achieve lasting results!

To get started, you will need to determine your short and long-term drumming goals. This might include
anything from learning a few favorite songs to mastering all 40 drum rudiments. It’s really up to you to
determine how much time and energy you want to invest in your abilities.

Below you will find three practice routine options. Please consider your schedule and goals to make a
realistic selection from these three levels of commitment. It is better to start with something you know
you will be able to accomplish, than to overcommit and set yourself up for failure. You can always change
your mind in the future, and make an adjustment at that time.

Once you have selected a schedule, you can decide how you want to invest that time in the three core
aspects of drumming. These categories include: musical drumming, technical drumming, and building
your library. By spending time in each of these areas, you will become a well rounded drummer.

Each of these three categories include five different ways you can improve your abilities. Feel free to
choose the sub-categories that best suit your specific drumming goals. Here are all the options:

Musical Drumming Technical Drumming Building Your Library

Play-Along Songs Drum Theory Heavy Rock Beats
Jam With Friends Drum Rudiments Mixed Rock Beats
Play Drum Solos Hand Techniques Groove Rock Beats
Learn Favorite Songs Pedal Techniques Latin & Jazz Beats
Improve Groove Building Speed Playing Drum Fills

Building your custom schedule is as simple as dedicating 20 minutes a day to any of the sub-categories
to fill up your schedule. If your chose the Casual Schedule, you would practice a single sub-category
each day, alternating between the three main categories each day. In other words, day one would start
with something from Musical Drumming, day two would build on something from Technical Drumming,
and day three would be spent Building Your Library with something from that category. Then, on day
four, you could choose to repeat the same schedule or pick something new from each category.

On the next page, we will take a look at a sample practice schedule to show you how you might use the
Motivated Practice Schedule option. Then, you can take and apply this system to reach your own goals!
