Rationale

Search Engines is one of the products of high technology, wherein variety of informations can be

found including websites, maps, news, images, books and even finances. Over millions of

searches recorded daily.

Recent statistics indicate that Search Engines have become the search interface of choice for

many faculty and students to address their information needs, far exceeding their use of library

catalogs or other online citation databases (Griffiths and Brophy, 2005). Typically, a search

engine works by sending out webs to carry as possible links.

Search engines are widely used among people. It gives immediate answers to our daily questions

in our day to day activities. One of the users of search engines are the students. With the tasked

assignments, projects and school works; students are able to find answers to their inquiries

regarding to these tasks.

The researcher felt the need of conducting this study. The researchers aim to give informations

about the efficacy of search engines towards the students specifically the senior high students of

Cordova Catholic Cooperative School.

The purpose of this research is to explore the search engine experiences of students and faculty

as they seek information to support their learning, teaching, and research. The study offers a

holistic perspective by examining use behaviors within the context of supported processes and

expected outcomes within an academic environment. The researchers use random sampling

method to gather the answers of the senior high students of Cordova Catholic Cooperative

School with regards to the effectives of search engines in their studies.

Significance of the Study

The importance of the study is to know the effectiveness of search engines to the studies of the

senior high students of Cordova Catholic Cooperative School.

This research about premarital-sex will benefit the following:

 High school students : The purpose of this research is to educate the students who are the

benefactors of education about the effectiveness of search engines towards their studies.

This research will help the students to be aware of what a search engine is.

 Teachers: The teachers will get the idea about the efficacy of search engines that could

lend them ideas to iniate a learning processes to the students they are handling.

 Administration: The administrators will be aware about the the use of search engines

among the students flocking the institution. They will gain ideas on how to help students

by giving importance to the use of search engine to the students.

Limitations of the study

The study was conducted in order to know the effectiveness of search engines to the students of

Cordova Catholic Cooperative School in their studies.

Thousands of students were enrolled in Cordova Catholic Cooperative School in the school year

2019-2020. However, the respondents limits to the students of Grade 11 and Grade 12 students.

A total of 50 respondents, 25 each year level.

The study limits to the perception of the students of Grades 11 and 12 students of Cordova

Catholic Cooperative School. The researchers gave a total of 50 questionnaires. The researchers

gave 25 questionnaires each year level. The researchers used the random sampling method

research to conduct the study.
