2.- Três capacitores C1 =2.0 µF, C2 =5.0 µF, e C3= 7.0 µF, separados
são inicialmente carregados até 36.0 V através de uma bateria de 36.0 V.
A bateria é então removida, e os capacitores ligados conforme o
esquema ao lado. Qual a carga final em cada capacitor e a ddp
entre os pontos P e P’.
3.- Two parallel conducting plates of area 0.50 m2 placed in a vacuum have a potential difference of
2.0 x105 V when charges of ±4.0 x10-3 C are placed on them, respectively.
(a) What is the capacitance of the pair of plates?
(b) What is the distance between them?
(c) What is the electric field between them?
(d) What is the electric energy?
4.- A parallel-plate capacitor without dielectric has an area A and a charge ±Q on each plate.
(a) What is the electric force F of attraction between the plates?
(b) How much work must you do against this force in order to increase the plate separation by an amount ∆d?
(c) Calculate the change ∆U in potential energy during this change.
(d) By comparing (a) and (c), check that F = ∆U/∆d.
6.- The battery in Figure 25-52 has negligible internal resistance. Find
(a) the current in each resistor and
(b) the power delivered by the battery.
8.- Commercial platinum resistance thermometers are often manufactured with a resistance of 100.0 Ω at 0.0 °C. The
temperature coefficient of resistivity is 3.9 x 10-3/°C. If the resistance of such a thermometer reads 109.8 Ω, what is the
temperature?
9.- Although aluminum has a somewhat higher resistivity than copper, it has the advantage of having a considerably
lower density. Find the mass of a 100-m segment of aluminum cable 3.0 cm in diameter. Compare this with that of a
copper cable of the same length and the same resistance. The densities of aluminum and of copper are 2.7 x 103 kg/m 3
and 8.9 x103 kg/m 3 , respectively.
10.- A current begins to flow at t = 0 and increases with time according to I(t) = At + Bt2 , where A = 0.50 C/s2 and
B= 0.20 C/s3 .What is the current at t = 5.0 s ? What total charge has flowed by t = 5.0 s ?
12.- For the circuit shown, find the potential difference between point a and point b.
13.- In the circuit, the reading of the ammeter is the same with both
switches open and both switches closed. Find the resistance R.
