Description
Designing a fieldbus network by hand and from scratch can be complicated and extremely time consuming.
Pepperl+Fuchs' Segment Checker is a software tool that supports centralized and distributed fieldbus
architecture concepts for FOUNDATION™ fieldbus H1 and PROFIBUS PA. It is the first open fieldbus design
tool available to the process industry.

Segment Checker is unique in its ability to help users check operational parameters to validate fieldbus
segment architecture. It allows users to create, display, print, and archive an entire design. This powerful
software also allows users to import field devices from a library, or create their own devices with the "device
editor" feature.

The surge protector now connects between trunk and Segment Protector with cable length of 0 m.
This was a necessary change that will also require a change in your setup of projects
Improved handling of Gateways with Foundation Fieldbus H1 node integration. They can now only
be connected via passive junction box to the trunk
